Photo-Realistic Crysis mod AKA Real Life-sis|Orgasmic Crysis - Games

Now that's i've upgraded to a Quad Core system with a GT465, i'm set to go again. Problem is... I don't know where to start and what to download. I really don't feel like playing Vanilla, so here are my basic "requests" if you want to call them that, as to what i'm looking to get out of my playthrough: 1. Realistic damage: 1-shot headshots, 3-4 shot body shots 2. Blood, of course (not sure if a patch was needed to enable it?) 3. Time of Day mod, of course 4. Any mod or add-on which: a) makes the game look nicer / more realistic b) is easy to install, doesn't require editing files, packing or repacking things, etc - i'm not too aware of how to do these things Would appreciate feedback if this Photo-Realistic Mod is the way to go for my above needs, or if I should look elsewhere? Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

Real Life-sis is terribly outdated. It was even old when this thread was originally made. The original mod author has since made an updated version that looks more natural and better overall compared to this. I can't remember the name of it at the moment but you can go on Crymod.com and look the author up. His username is Cry-Puppy (He got hired by Crytek) but he releases his stuff under Hawkeye|Puppy.

Are you high? It's clearly a real photo!

Everything washed out by DOF and bloom with near pitch-black shadows and bright white sky, hard to see anything at all.

My only suggestion is that it could use a little less of the gold tint in order to bring back a little color variety. Other than that...it's seriously jawdropping.

Some leaves are even ripped in the same location and the bananas on the stem are identical.

If not then they are really fucking well done.[/QUOTE] I believe the main contributor to this is the game engine feature of snapping screenshots at extreme resolutions (much higher than any screen display res) then scaling them down. This makes stuff like foliage seem much smoother than in-game (anti-aliasing doesn't work on foliage in-game because of the rendering method).

I wasn't actually able to capture high-res screenshots since 'e_screenshot' fails miserably for me and I have no way to force supersampling, AF, etc. Hence, I had to take a screenshot at something like 1600x700 and scale it down. By 'experiment', I actually mean 'set the time of day to 10AM and adjust settings until it looks nice', so the lighting settings only apply at exactly 10AM. Move anywhere after and before and the lighting will transition to the regular style. I really have no idea how the TOD editor actually works :v: If you want to try it out, though, by all means go ahead: [URL="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12527604/misc/crysis/CrysisTOD.tod"]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12527604/misc/crysis/CrysisTOD.tod[/URL] You should know what to do - simply import it into the map and change the time to 10:00.
