You need to go outside more if you think this looks real. It reminds me of those old 3D renders from the past. They'd make a model for some object and place it on a photo. Kinda the other way around. It would look much better if they actually made the non photo textures fit with the photo ones. Looks silly this way.
yeah really the only remotely real looking one is the one of the beach rocks, because it's the only one that looks like it doesn't have a white dwarf star 100 feet above the scene
O hot damn
Holy shit, this is the crysis I wanted to play in '06-'07
They look fantastic, but far from photoreal
And I finally had a computer that could play Crysis...
so tell me again, why the hell do we need a Cryengine 3?
so tell me again, why the hell do we need a Cryengine 3?
For the consoles!

so tell me again, why the hell do we need a Cryengine 3?
For the consoles!
Haha, that's cute. But seriously, Why do we need CryEngine 3? Especially beings it looks worse than CryEngine 2.
that isn't long at all
Long for one night with 60 calculus problems and a chemistry lab on top of it. Took me 3 1/2 hours, reading mightily quickly. Skimmed some sections. Coming up tomorrow, a 3-page paper on it.
Holy fuck, I Came. That shit is Awesome.
It certainly looks good, but not photo realistic.
Haha, that's cute. But seriously, Why do we need CryEngine 3? Especially beings it looks worse than CryEngine 2.
It looks worse than Cryengine 2 on consoles. Although the naming has no reasoning, maybe it was to compete with Unreal Engine 3 as that's what they're practically doing.
yeah man because the number is all that matters when people see engine titles "2? fuck that shit i wan the third of something not the second"
And this, gentlemen, is what computers can do if you put time into the optimization. Edit: Bonus link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/7960498.stm (Warning: If you are a console fanboy don't click, you may feel ill).
I would do this just for the screenshots and not gameplay, HOLY FUCKING BALLS
FFFUUUUCKKK I uninstalled Crysis just a week ago D: wait it isn't out yet fffffff
Oh GOD this is more like "if you look at these screenshots longer than 10 seconds, you're gonna cry-sis."
This will be my sole reaction
Was it that hard to make the game like this in the first place? But damn, I only got Warhead. And that doesn't even work on Vista.
And this, gentlemen, is what computers can do if you put time into the optimization.
You don't know how it runs yet. You can't really speak of optimization here.
What are you talking about? Warhead works fine on Vista.
Of course it works with Vista, seeing as only Vista technically uses DX10, the thing Crytek was raving about for CryEngine 2.
Any videos in this?
Any videos in this?
The screenshots ARE the videos.
Orgasmic is right, it looks beautiful!
I've never seen such a realistic mod before, this is just... FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!
Holy shit!
Is that M1 Abrams is mod or is it in the vanilla Crysis? I've only played Warhead (and there were no M1s)
yeah really the only remotely real looking one is the one of the beach rocks, because it's the only one that looks like it doesn't have a white dwarf star 100 feet above the scene
I hope you realize that "photorealistic" has many definitions. photorealism - photorealistic Aiming to simulate the reality. That's what I say this mod is aiming for, which they're doing a pretty good job so far.
Wait, these are in game?
Wait, these are in game?
That or from in the editor.
