How did you hear about steam? - Games

Needed to install it back when I bought Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and haven't looked back since.

My friends showed it to me because they had tf2. I eventually got the orange box a couple months later, then I found out the steam store has amazing deals, so I have lots of games now.

When I bought EP1 in a store.

Played DoD:S at my cousins place, then decided to buy it on Steam myself.

It replaced WON for Half-Life/Counter Strike 1.6. Ah, the good ol' days.

I used Steam to install TFC, so probably around the time TFC came out on Steam. 2003 according to Wikipedia.

My friend told me about it.

My dad had it, and I played Half-Life, yes the first, with him when I was a kid, so when he thought I was old enough, he bought some games for me

When I bought TF2 like 2 years ago.

A friend forced me to buy TF2 just over a year ago. Best non-decision ever. :3:

I had to when I bought Half-Life 2: Game of the Year Edition (I didn't get a computer that could run HL2 until 2005).

January the 3rd 2005 when I bought Hl2 bundled with CSS for £30.

My brother used it when it first came out and I'd play Team Fortress Classic on his account.

I bought Darwinia on steam, and then I got HL2. The rest is history.

CS: Anthology & Half-Life

When i bought Race 07, i wanted to play online easily, so i installed steam.

My friend told me about it because i was going to buy tf2.

Heard about it when I tried installing HL2 from my ATI 9600SE offer. I declined installing it because I thought it was bloatware...only to find out it was required to install HL2.

Brother got it because of counter-strike. Then i dumped my old account and kept his when he quit, and i still have it as my own.

Got it when I got the Orange Box

I heard about it on November 21, 2008, when I got Half-Life for 98¢ on its tenth anniversary.

When I read the announcement that WON was shutting down

The week before Half Life 2 came out (a local retailer broke the street date and we tried to install it but it didn't work).

My dad got Half life back when i was a little kid and i would watch him play it and get freaked out by it cause i was like 6 or something. Then down the road i hear about Half life 2 and i buy it for my dad and he never installs it so i install it and it installs steam.

Friend got me into half life, the obvious followed.
