It'd be hard to convince someone to let you join their private server if no one really knows you, and you just have 7 posts. Ask Teh_Cheese or Dr_Cola for the IP to their servers if you want to try, though. Dr_Cola does "PM me for the IP to my server! First two people get it" a lot.
I was just kickbanned while using the furnace on gold and also made a diamond solid thing :D
not that being kickbanned from an admin is fun...
I've yet to give out PM's to two more people

Exactly, lol. It was ok at first but then it started repeating.
First person to PM me gets an IP to a lag free (like literally 100% lag free) private server.
You will be provided diamond tools and building materials.
I have a right to refuse giving it to you if I dont know who you are/dont like you.

I'd also love an invite for a couple of hours to a nice server to build cool shit on. Hogofwars was good but it just got really laggy.

i build a landmark or something like a huge 1 block wide tower and direct people that way. that or just go to /home and work back to where i was before.

well yeah I get that but some maps are so huge, even with draw distance to far you won't be able to see alot of the map.

the only other real way is to meet at the spawn point or something, or at some major landmark you can both find. it's pretty difficult if the other person has gone miles away i guess

In the server.properties file did you enter your external IP?
Indeed I did
Updated the OP a bit and added a "Private IP" section.
Note to self: Never work with lava again.
