Agreed, there's always people who have large postcounts but are griefers (Jimmg: 732 posts).

Usually though, people just sign up to ask for the IP and join the server and fuck things up. They also don't want some random person joining either, and like I said, fucking things up. Personally, I don't care about other peoples post count, but that's just what I think.

I think you have to completely restart the server or something. Maybe redownload the software or whatever you use to host? I'm not too sure.
SMP just comes down to either griefer paradise or cool kids club.

I think it should be based on both post count and reputation. Little background checks would work.

It's the only way to weed out possible griefers without letting them on the server really. I'm not endorsing elitism but if a server hoster lets it go public and he gets griefed to fuck I would want to be very selective about the people i give the IP too.

If anything is going to be restricted by join date, you should at least make it so that you had to have registered by late July.

I know join date elitism maybe a bit harsh, but I have to keep the riff-raff out somehow... I was on Pen's server for like 20 minutes before two people blew the entire spawn with TNT.
