How do i use cartograph?

Anyone know where the inventory persister draws its textures from? I have a different texture pack with the client, but the persister uses an outdated HD skin pack. I've tried and tried, but I can't change it to use the one I have in regular minecraft.

I am going to be gone for a week, I wonder what minecraft will turn into by then?

Is there any way to permanently allocate more RAM to Minecraft? It currently only uses 512mb but I have 6gb so I can afford to run it up to even 2gb with no trouble since I have no other intensive applications running.

Long answer, no but on Survival Multiplayer there are a lot of griefers on public servers but remember Notch released a buggy, verrrrrrry deep in-progress version of Multiplayer and he has all the time in the world to develop on it, so expect to be griefed in openly public servers or try find a small server with a few decent players and no one spreading the IP and you should be OK. As far as Singleplayer Alpha goes, it's fantastic right now and you'll have a blast.

There's a couple new people on the whitelist, but you'll know if it's you. YEYAHRRGH. The server is down again because I'm updating it, but it will be SO MUCH MORE STABLE. Also, a few of my more trustworthy people are going to be made admins, because I'm going to be gone for a LONG WHILE.

Isn't Notch still updating classic? Like, very rarely, a bug fix is released, and he will update it more in the future

Here's what's new in the server: Version 5.9: -New command: #ipban -New command: #points -capability to autosave preferences file. -autokicks and ipbans players who have invalid characters in their name. -players with periods in their name can now use commands. -Reads in information from a properties file. -playercap: give it a number to limit the number of players or leave it out of the file for no player cap. -playerwhitelist: set to true to kick non-allowed players -itemwhitelist: set to true to use white-list summon prevention -fun: set to true to allow non-trusted players to summon items. -autosave: set to true to automatically save settings files every ten minutes -ram: set to the number of mb of ram to use for the server (default: 1024)

Question: What are the maximum dimensions a texture can be before you have to do all those file edits to support bigger versions? Right now, I have textures at 512x512, and I was wondering if I could go higher.
