Use localhost to connect to your server.
Use the site notch linked to get your Ip so Other people can connect.
You need to forward the 25565 Port or whatever port you assigned for other people to connect.

I have minimal video of it too, but the server crashed in the middle of me recording it, followed by a timely "FUUUUUUUUUU----".

It's more about ram and cpu speed with minecraft, but we only get 500-600 kbps at my house at best :smith:
I suggest you kick SBC Internet Services in the gut.
But yeah, with dual core 3.2GHZ it takes up to 40%CPU with only 4 people on the server >>

I've got 4 GB of RAM, and an Intel Quad core 2.4 Ghz cpu.
I think that's good enough to host a server, but I was more concerned about lag.

So, I'm pretty late to the party when it comes to customizing and what not. Could someone explain how I edit files for the Minecraft client that will actually show up, like the way my character looks, how blocks look, how mobs look, things like that?
I haven't had a lot of time to play Minecraft lately so I'm not sure how to do all this :saddowns:
