I'm on brocraft, the main stream mostly.
The minecraft part of brocraft can be really autistic sometimes, especially against non-regulars.

Do you mean how to change them in the client, or how to get them to show up.
A - You cant.
B - Go to minecrafts website then go to the preferences page, and change it from there. Then they should show up.

Skins should work as long as you input your account name in the correct case and spelled properly. Textures are a bit more complicated. What's your OS?

So everyone I see using different skins for their characters when I play online are playing from the website, and not the client?

There are a few jackasses, but I think Brocraft is generally nice. I've been here for months though, so I'll obviously be biased.

I never have the problem, due to using proper spelling and such. While playing, I care a bit less about spelling, as lo-bluh, back to the question. Do you have Windows 7?

Once it is set on that page it's set for both the Website AND Desktop client.

go to C:\Users\[compname]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin
unzip a texture pack, and open the folder up > Copy the contents > open minecraft.jar up with something like 7zip > paste contents
I got the brown bloom texture pack, after the logo of mojang, it just goes black.. Any ideas?

I'm just blown away at the fact that my username being lowercase broke ALL my textures and skins and that's why nothing was working. After making the first letter uppercase, all textures and skins are working with the client. Damn that bugs me.
