This reply is a little late, but FYI, any characters in the IP address field that shouldn't be there will crash the client. This includes symbols (besides . and : ofc), letters, and spaces.

On-topic, I briefly mentioned how awesome it would be for a dwarf fortress to minecraft save thingy. They mentioned there would only be one z level for some levels, or that it would be impossible.
So, this is my 4000th post and I want it to rest happily in this thread, mainly because all of you guys are so damn awesome. When I get a better computer that can actually run Minecraft at a decent FPS, I promise you guys that I'll be playing a hell of a lot of SMP with you all :3:

Not true. YumYumBubleGum's minecraft server IP consists of this: minecraftserver.ath.cx and it connects just fine. Previously it was YumYumBubleGum.Mine.nu and that, too, worked fine. Doesn't crash, connects just fine, don't know where you got that information from.

I've already spent my thousandth post here. I'm pretty sure just about every single post has been in these threads. So, here is my late 1000th celebration post.
I've always managed to find a nice little community here. And sometimes goatse/african steroid sellers. But really, it's like a little close knit community. There's always something happening, arguments or large projects. It's nice here and I plan to stay much longer because it's so awesome.
