I came into this thread expecting some theory about mating with dust.
I was dissapointed.

nuke is a very ct sided map and usually no one wants to play terrorist on it.

Well. Can you not tell it to not show any server with higher ping than for example 100 ping? And then sort results by map.

Mmm, Militia. I seem to have fond memories of that map... I can remember a couple of years ago. I had just received my new Sennheiser headphones (closed leather that sit ON the ear) and it was pouring rain insanely hard that night - so hard I simply couldn't hear anything but the rain on the metal roof (no insulation back then in my cabin). I joined a Militia server, put on these headphones and... Wow. If the sound wasn't coming through the headphones, I wasn't hearing it :P

I proceeded to spend the whole night playing on that server / map, and it was great fun. Militia's a fantastic map for extended rounds filled with lots of creeping and careful listening for footsteps and the like.

Intense shit.

I don't know about CS:S, but in 1.6 the default map in the configuration file is de_dust, so every non-modified server will start on this map.

Now it makes sense. I just sort by ping, then look for a good map with a low ping, especially if there are duplicates.
