FIFA Soccer Thread! - Games

Predictable to be honest [editline]10th June 2012[/editline] What music do you guys listen to whilst playing Fifa? I listen to a bit of Wu Tang Clan and other old school rap. $$$ThuG lyf3$$

Also old school rap for me too usually, I'm a big tribe called quest fan But at the moment I'll usually put my V festival playlist on, in preparation. Also wow Netherlands vs. Germany last night was brilliant. Anybody got a fantasy team for the euros? I do and I'm currently doing awfully, at least Gomez got me some points last night with his brace.

Shame that they aren't awarding points for players just playing well generally throughout the match. I assume Ozil would have quite a few if they did. I've got Sneijder on my team who I think has done really well, but he's only got points for his time played.

Me and a few others are in a fantasy league. One had Gomez and I was like FUCK FUCK FUCKKKKK. Then realised I had Schweinsteiger who assisted twice and RVP was my captain. RVP as captain got me 12 and regular Gomez got 10 fortunately. Helped that RVP stayed on the field and Gomez subbed.

The thing is, there are no points for playing well like there are in the Premier League one.

Tried out UEFA 2012 and thought maybe check out FP for the game. I know nothing about recent FIFA games, my last one was '99 fpr N64 and dudes it sounds like you are talking about a card game in here.

Is it weird I don't like watching football but I like playing it and the FIFA games a lot?

Fucking AI in Fifa 12 is so ridiculous. It's like they have god mode, and that they have 10 Messis on the field. Not to mention they always win the headers, and know when you're going to tackle them. I rarely get mad at video games, but fuck EA.

How many of you guys in Europe have gotten the Season Ticket for Xbox 360? I'm thinking of starting a Pro Club in Fifa 13 on this Saturday (if it comes out too late in the evening probably the next week.) I've gotten myself a Xbox headset and everything.

The game is going to be played for a year and I really don't want to have to spend money to be able to get it a week earlier than release. I'd be play in a pro club with you if you wanted another member. I'm in Div 1 of the FIFA 12 H2H seasons so I'm reasonable at the game (ie not completely new).

Web app is now out for Ultimate Team. Get on there and get some rewards for logging on every day before the game is released.

Fifa 13 really is a massive improvement, I'll never go back to Fifa 12. Changes to the Career Mode/Be a Pro are fantastic.

On the demo, I noticed that big players are actually now strong. Before, people like Yaya Toure were getting pushed off the ball by Messi/Ribery. I got the feeling that that won't be the case on Fifa 13.

Even though the first touch thing can be a pain in the arse, it can create amazing scrambles in the box to try and clear it or score. I've always loved that 'random' factor that all FIFA games add each year. Other changes and new stuff I like is the UT layout (got used to it after a while), the catalogue (I love in-game currency and un-lockables in my games) and the goalkeeper improvements. Also the new Saudi stadiums are pretty sweet. Overall, the early access is worth it to play 13 alone, nevermind the UT packs and 20% off PDLC (which I'd find myself buying at some point anyway)

Also, pace doesn't really matter anymore is one of the main things I've noticed. Now you can finally have players like Terry in CB, if you like that asshole :rolleyes:
