I hope they make the suit modes more like MODES instead of highly situational gimmicks.
Speed mode was useless because everything you ran into while going fast killed you, you didn't have armor, and the speed boost was pretty small and lasted only a few seconds (while it took like 10 seconds to recharge).
Strength Mode was useless because to get even close enough to attack you had to have armor mode off (which again, makes you die fast on any difficulty other than easy). Throwing/hitting objects wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do in 99% of situations especailly since your throws were only about 2x more powerful which isn't much (except for grenades), jumping drained WAY too much energy for the small x2 boost it was, etc.
Cloak mode was almost over-powered. As long as you had it on for the very brief time it was active before you drained, you would instantly be 100% invisible to all enemies. Cheap, lame, and not very satsifying. Especailly since in mutliplayer you were actually EASIER to see with cloak than without in most cases.
I'd like for them to actually make the suit modes true "MODES" and not quick situational powerups. In Crysis you never had a real reason to be on anything other than Armor mode or cloak. They should make it so the sprint time with speed mode is MUCH longer, with the energy recharging faster in speed mode as well. Make it also you don't take collision damage in speed mode (unless you get ran over somthing like a tank obviously). Strength mode should be much more powerful too, so I can actually want to use it over armor mode. Make it so shooting with strength mode (which in Crysis made you aim better), doesn't drain your energy super fast, and make it so you don't take fall damage with strength mode. Make it so making two jumps doesn't drain your energy completely. Cloak mode should last A LOT longer too, at the cost that enemies can now see the cloak if they are close-ish.
That would make it much more interesting and less situational. Especailly if the level designers make good use of the different modes. I remember in Crysis before it being released being told that when you meet the aliens you'll need to use all your modes to survive. Whatever happened to that? At the end of the game it was even easier (and more stupid) to do anything but stay in armor mode and cloak occasionally.
I had this problem.
Then I started playing on easy, and decided to use nothing except suit modes and shit you pick up. My god, fighting half the korean army just by using frying pans and bananas has never been so much fun.
Also, I found a mod that adds a slow motion mode and a third person mode (I believe it was called "Gears of Crysis" and that, combined with g_meleewhilesprinting 1 and g_playersuitenergyrechargetime -1 lead to awesome moments where I would record a section in slow motion where I completely obliterated the koreans with pixel perfect headshots and grenades, and then speed it up. It looked so fucking awesome.
I can flowgraph that in the editor, it's easy.

Still a crysis, and the "LOL U NEED NASA COMPUTER TO RUN IT" stopped being funny in 2007.
Especially since Crysis 2 is running on a more optimized engine.
You don't know what engine it's running on.

Cryengine 3, yes we do know

Maybe this is the reason, some people think the gamplay in crysis was not so good, because they did not even try too use the suit modes creativly. I always did all kinds of things too trick the enemies, like if im in a building hiding from 20 koreans looking for me, I would quickly pick up an object and throw it through the roof, which has multiple purposes, first the koreans get distracted and start running all over (which I absolutely love about the AI, that they give you the fealing that they are scared shitless), and then I can use strength mode too jump through the hole and quickly use speed mode too do a long jump from the roof into some bushes and then using cloack too make sure the koreans that heard me don't start shooting. Crysis was one of the most fun games I played in years (IMO so don't start a shitstorm please)

It's not that. I had fun with crysis, and played it more steathfully on Delta difficulty. The problem I had was, on delta difficulity being "creative" means you died. Simply put the best way to play was cloaking your way through the game and/or staying in armor mode because anything else would kill you too fast.
Being creative only works on lower difficulities where the damage enemies do is lower (and as such you use less energy in armor mode), which allows you the energy needed. I've played some mod made for version 1 of Crysis (it vanished off the face of the earth since then), that basically made the suit modes more like abilities, where speed mode would last 10 full seconds of fast sprinting, jumping in strength mode didn't cause you to loose half of your energy (and essentually a quarter of your life once you switched back to armor mode), and cloak mode lasted much longer at the cost that enemies could see you up close.
It was much more fun, and allowed the player to be more creative, even if the level design didn't call for anything but staying in armor mode the entire time.

Oh, I don't because Crytek hasn't made 5+ videos showcasing their new engine and shit. Way to go.

BREAKING NEWS
If you use "crytek" it says "PASSWORD WRONG!" instead of wrong username or password. Therefore, crytek is the username to be used now.
[editline]03:55AM[/editline]
And using crynet as the password makes it say "username expired".
type password for password
Ordered my Nanosuit 2.0 :keke:
I got some mod that lets you run forever, strength mode barely drains your strength at all, armor is pretty much invincibility, and cloak drains at the same rate no matter the movement.
Made it fun as fuck.

alternatively, type:
g_playersuitrechargetime -1
in the console.

Doesn't change the fact that the AI has epic downs. I literally consumed a soldier in front of his buddies, disguised myself as him, and used the Patsy ability on one of said buddies. They suddenly turned their guns on him, shot him to death, grumbled a bit, and walked off.

well it doesn't looks so bad in real life but it still looks kind of fat
They should try making a good game with the Cry Engine, Crysis is just an average shooter but imagine if they made something better :buddy:
My god, the music in the video's was awesome.
Random question, but does the original Crysis still have SecuROM? That's the only reason I never bought it, as I loved the demo and my machine runs it surprisingly well.
Also, I hope they use the video's music for the Crysis 2 theme.
Great music in the two videos. Also, on the second video perhaps we'll see that kind of quality in game. Would be nice to atleast have the option for those of us with good computers.
You wouldn't be able to render not even ONLY this one model at real time, not talking about battlefield filled if effects.

It doesn't have an install limit, but I think it has securom...
Warhead had like a 5 time install limit.

But no activation limit? On the Steam store, it still lists Crysis (the original and Warhead) as having a 5 install limit. I'm not buying from Steam, so do the retail copies also have said limit?

Nomad is the new Master Chief:
You never see his face and he has a ridiculous suit of armor.
Now the only question is who did Bungie copy?

Master Chief is a space marine.
Nomad is an earth marine.
Bungie didn't "copy" anybody in particular. Halo seemed like an homage to Bungie's previous game series, "Marathon"
True, just going out on a limb there,
