I don't find fabric attractive on it's own
Another thing, third person stealth just feels more like a dumbed down easy stealth rather than first person feeling like a more difficult stealth. I mean seriously. What's the challenge in 3rd person stealth? Watching the guards and that's it? You don't even have to be all that aware of your surroundings because the camera covers that for you.
Oh man, awesome ragdolls!

Neither felt dumbed down due to the enemy AI. That section of gameplay in HR where the guy is patrolling up the corridor? Its not going to be like that every single time. They'll find ways to amp it up.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that's pretty hot? I'm really liking Jensen, I hope he can be a bad ass like Denton was.[sp]One of my favorite moments from DE1 was blowing up everyone in the subway, hostages included, and then just putting it off as "No negotiations with terrorists."[/sp]
"We released the first screenshots and people said, oh man - it's a prequel that's set twenty years before Deus Ex, and it looks more technologically advanced. Well the thing is that if you look at the computer screens or television screens in Deus Ex, then our real-world monitors are already bigger, flatter and of a higher resolution than that in the modern day. "What do you do with that? Don't get me wrong we are doing this game for the fans and everything, but you can't just make it for the fans. It makes no sense. It's undebatable. It would be weird to make 4:3 ratio screens in the world, just because we want to fit in with the first one."
The computer screens comment doesn't really make much sense. True, TV screens were small in comparison to what we have now. Computer screens were mostly what looked like holographic screens with 2 emitters surrounding the middle panel. The security computers could be compact on purpose, and industrial monitoring equipment is supposed to look old, but stury. Did they consider upgrading it to current standards? So that we have the same style, but with dem big ass TV's? It would be less of a transition then freakin' Coruscant. Anyways, I'm probably overshadowing the game. There are some things I like, for example, I like how the augmentations are very mech-like. That actually corresponds to being more primitive technology next to Deus Ex 1 augmentation tech, which was nearly invisible (with exception of the mechs, ofcourse). Nothing wrong with the gameplay as far as I can tell, so just consider whatever people don't nitpick good to go.

I hate it when you think you're behind cover but one inch of you're invisible leg is sticking out and everyone sees it.

Gameplay next week at Gamescom guys. Its very probable that it will be the E3 footage but at least we will know if they've polished it more. Plus I get to hear some of that good musics.

I think a moderator should just re-name this thread to, "Deus Ex: Human Revolution Megathread".
I think a moderator should just re-name this thread to, "Deus Ex: Human Revolution Megathread".
That would be nice. :3:
Looks good to me.
There's a Deus Ex HR and Deues Ex megathread already.
There's a Deus Ex HR and Deues Ex megathread already.
Yeah, but the OP is permabanned.
For shame.
I feel like the major reason I liked Deus Ex so much was simply the nostalgia and the slow pace. This game, on the other hand, looks to be more upbeat, and is fresh. I'm on the fence about what to think of it. The implants remind me of Ghost in the Shell, the arm augments are almost identical to some in the show, which I always liked.

DX had quite a lot of quirky happy elements to it especially the music. Adam gets his arms blown off in the intro and that seems pretty nasty for something like DX. Visually, yeah its more vibrant but everything else feels a lot more sinister.
I can't fucking wait. Someone invent time-travel.
Dues Ex 3 needs more of this:
I found this interesting comment on YouTube:
Oh so they are not allowed to make any improvements? Any cool new features? If not then just fucking stick with the same old thing forever and let everyone pass you by while you stay with the same old same old.
There are so many people complaining about the changes HR brings to the table. What they need to understand is that recycling DX1 will be boring and uninspired. If they want to play a game that has all the features DX1 has, then they should play DX1. By the way, this wasn't directed at you, bud389. It was directed at the YouTubers who spend most of their time complaining about HR.
Hmmm, now what could i do with this....
There are so many people complaining about the changes new rts's brings to the table.
i've never played a dues ex game, but this looks pretty gnar
Dues Ex is on steam for 9.99. I suggest you pick it up.
