Good day my friend and welcome to glorious slavic let's play! We will be playing Hearts of Iron III, and guiding [B]glorious Yugoslavia[/B] to it's inevtaible destiny as ruler of all the balkans, and more!

As you see we are surrounded by freaks and wierdos, we must convert them to slavs, this will be simple when we burn their houses down to the ground

Our great slavic industrial powerhouse at work we have done away with the idea of "reserve" divisions of slav warriors and are in the process of making them true slav warriors!

Our smartest slavs (it is all of them) must be brought up in the ways of researchers! all else is secondary. Our techs will allow us, in that order to build factories (our current ones were built in the dark ages of myth. When slavic gods walked the earth), take less time between attacks (true slavs dont actually sleep), make our production lines better (so more slavs can fight rather than making dolls!), and guns, better guns make better slavs.

Say hello to what will become the mainstay of the slavic army in years to come. 7000 slavs complete with guns and large explosions which will strike fear into the hearts of our enemies.

I was thinking that the jungle people were supposed to be strong enemies thanks to jungle movement. This is wrong, and a relief. Well done my greasy olive oil drinking friends. Though why they set up a puppet government rather than just taking all the land for themselves confuses me.

Shrewd business sense is in the blood of the slav! Yugoslavia lacks some things, oil, sources of energy and rare materials are lacking. So instead we make lots and lots of military supplies! Over half of our industry make these supplies and sell them to the fat americans, the friendly germans, and the soon to be slavic russians. Doing this has given us more supplies than any other terrible nation on earth, and we now are one of the richest of all nations!

The first of many new slav factories is underway, better even than the ones made by previous slavic gods! This is as well as many rafts -- i mean transport boats that will take us to new lands that we may crush under -- i mean create relations with.

As I thought! foreign dogs cause problems in our country, all true slavs love the true slav government. Was it the fat american? was it the slanty eyes? we will find out and crush it.

War breaks out in the land of the bulls and paella. Between the glorious nationalist freedom fighters and republican jerks. When we end up at war with half of the world, which will happen we want to have allies we can rely on. Those who love their country can be relied on, siesta taking hippies can not.

For first time in slavic history yugoslavia will have fair election! as far as we know there is only us that do this in world. It is in 1940, of course we will be fighting then, and taking our land. Which in turn makes us popular. It is great plan.

Success! we are now friends with the germans. Yugoslavia is not the stupid, while we might have best warriors on this earth there are less than in germany, and they have more tanks. We will use them for now and discard them once we tire of them.
So here we are now after one year, our resource crisis has stabilised, our trade is highly profitable, our armies grow, and become more advanced by the second. This year was great year, later years will certainly be more shooty years though. We must prepare.

Take the Muslims, they have a small country they should be easy. Also whast with the "here be dragon" I've seen it in a couple AARs.
I was going to buy this yesterday but I spent the entire day on a bus until the shops closed. The same happened today with a train. I'll read this until whenever the time comes that the shops are open at the same time as me being on foot to ease me along. Considering your HoI2 AARs led me to buy the game in the first place, this should be great.
Oh and "Here Be Dragons" or monsters or whatever it happens to be seems to be just a reference to old maps where unknown or dangerous areas (Mostly of the sea) would say something similar or have a picture of something evil looking.

Some things I prefer to have a physical copy of, Hearts of Iron and it's lovely large manual is one of them. Also because I don't have much space on my Steam hard drive.
Oh and consume those Muslim pests to the south.

I can understand that.Plus I guess a physical manual would be easier to read then the PDF file of it.

Yes but if it's anything like HoI2 it was almost impossible to survive unless you either spent all your money allying with Russia (for Russia to potentially get steamrolled (and you) by the Germans). Or spam land forts and sit there and do nothing.
Also KillerTV, you should invade Albania as nobody likes them and Italy will take them soon anyway.
Well with the new diplomacy system in HoI 3 it's really easy (too easy) to align yourself to one of the factions. You can quite easily get allied with Russia in maybe less than a year. So you could probably have a decent game as Lithuania.
EDIT: Just don't give up, in HoI 3 the learning curve is much higher than HoI 2 and most games. It takes some getting used to.

Yeah, i din't help in world war 2 when my country was in between fucking Russia and germany.

Killer, how comes your consumer goods demand is only 0.40, that strikes me as ridiculously low, even for a smaller nation.
Because otherwise the game is horribly broken with the bug. I changed a couple of laws and it's back up to 5-6ish but that's not pictured.
It was either do that, or have it take up 99% of Japan's, the UK's, France, and the USSR's IC budget. Which annhilates the game completely.

Atack the Muslims first then Tech up a bit. and get some tanks and assign them to corps and such and then attack the Slavs in denial
