They do take cover, but only once they have followed their instructions of "move forward even if it means death". And even then they only take cover in certain places, even if that means shoving the player into the line of fire. FPS games need much better allied AI, the enemy AI is usually just fine at avoiding the player.
The AI stuff and NPC reactions are very... very scripted. Theres not really more to the AI than following the scripts, occasional switching cover and aiming and shooting the player.
I hate it because it pushes greater games like HL2 and Portal into the shadows. Seriously, nobody I know IRL except for one guy knows what HL2 is.
Goddamn modern warfart.
Its overrated, overhyped, unbalanced multiplayer, lacks authentic or original gameplay, most people only play it to fit in or "be cool", plus the community is made up of dumb jocks and brain-dead rednecks that think this game is the best thing ever to happen to gaming
Or, you know, people just genuinely enjoy playing it? I don't care if it's like the other Call of Duties, it's still fun to play.
Battlefield:Bad Company 2 is much better than this overpriced piece of shit!
Sorry. Not a fan of terrible hit detection or clunky movement or lack of prone... did I mention terrible hit detection?
Your avatar is a meme and the title is MW2 haters. Sorry Jessi Slaughter
Oh, haha what the fuck. I made a thread "MW2 Haters" in Fast Threads a few days ago.
Say what you will about MW2, but you can't deny that it has an amazing soundtrack.

The music is very good in modern warfare2, but some guns sounded like airsoft guns.
Something we can all agree on is that the game is not worth the price, and sans the terribly low average IQ of the playerbase it's moderately enjoyable. It didn't really bring anything new to the table though.
It's the FarmVille of FPS games.
its a good game but all activison CODS(WAW counts)seem to be better than mw2 and mw 1.mw1 was a bit better coz there was no OVERPOWERD ATTACHMENTS AHHHHH(sorry for bad spellingn)

Activision don't make the non IW CoD games :downs: Teryarch do, and theirs are hit and miss, CoD3 was horrendous on most platforms, CoD: WaW was a vast improvement and could go toe to toe with CoD4 any time and give it a run for it's money. Until the map packs came out anyway.
Though that still happens anyway. Kids who no-scope/ quickscope (i.e: ruin actual sniping with their shit) all use the Intervention with Sleight of hand and Stopping Power. Trolls all use the same overpowered guns like the UMP 45. New players stick to what they knew from previous games (like the M4A1), and other people just use whichever gun has a decent balance of damage/ firepower (usually the Scar-H or the oh so overpowered AUG).
There is little real variation in loadouts when you actually look at what people use on average.
Really?
I see people use the RPD more than the AUG.
What setup are you using that makes the AUG overpowered?
Recipe for a market-crashing game which rakes in millions of dollars and kills the genre completely.
Ingredients
- A large well-known gaming company.
- An established franchise, between two to five games worth.
- A marketing campaign to gloss the final product.
- Millions of idiots who wish to fit in with whatever is cool.
Step One
- First, you must have the setting.
- The game must be set within 50 years of current time, preferably in the future, but appealing to the older crowd requires weapons that are outdated and nearly never used, such as the original AK47, the Colt M1911, 19th century shotguns.
Step Two
- Once you have picked a date, you must look at a list of biospheres and make a map that involves each one. Space counts as well.
- There has to be a betrayal. It doesn't matter how large. It might be selling government secrets, blaming the main character, etc., or just deeming someone not important enough to save. It must cause rage in the player.
- Make over-done cutscenes and loading screens, so that people will think the mission/match will be far better than it really is.
Step Three
- Now that you have the storyline and the main menu finished, you may work on gameplay. Use mirrored models only, because they are oh so popular, and no one will ever care how the shells are flying into the cheeks of the player.
- All weapons must be either over-powered or under-powered. There is no Jack-of-all-trades. All sniper rifles are one-shot kills. There must be some unlock system which abuses the new people.
- You must do as many logical fallacies as possible. knife to the foot, throwing or stabbing, is always a kill. hitboxes must spazz around when they shouldn't, and stand still when they shouldn't. Guns never jam and you magically can recieve the magazine back, even if you claim to be the most realistic shooter available.
-Finally for this step, make a perk system for multiplayer than causes everything to become more complicated than it should be, and remove dedicated servers. Who needs them, they just sit there and sometimes get used by millions of players, and allow customized content.
Final step
- Rush the producers until they quit. This makes the game more tantalizing.
- Appeal to the scum of the gaming market and market the shit out of the game, so that everyone who isn't smart enough to see what is going on already owns the game before news gets around.
- Price the game at least triple it's comparative worth, despite it giving a 4 hour campaign and unreviewed multiplater.
- When reviews become available, be sure to pay off the dishonest companies to write well about it, while not letting the honest ones review it past a scale.
- Cut large swathes of content from the game and release it in overprices Downloadable Content.
- Spend the rest of your life sipping margaritas and watching your bank account inflate like a hot air balloon.
Bonus Step
- Promise more of the same in future sequels and laugh at the idiots who call you geniuses and visionaries.
its a good game but all activison CODS(WAW counts)seem to be better than mw2 and mw 1.mw1 was a bit better coz there was no OVERPOWERD ATTACHMENTS AHHHHH(sorry for bad spellingn)
I'm sorry.
"Overpowered attachments"?
This is just fucking hilarious.
Tell me ONE attachment that's overpowered. No, not the m203. That's in both games and is easily countered.

It's $60, like all other games.
Unless you're talking about the PC, then of course not. Piece of shit sucks on PC, for whatever reason.

You can go ahead and keep on playing your Portal and HL2 then. I'll admit they're both good games in their own right, but, for me at least, any game with multiplayer (including MW2) easily has more replay value than both of those games.
I bet Halo Reach will sell much more than COD: Black Ops
I liked the gameplay, but I swear to god I will dragon kick a baby next time I see the word "Intervention" and "Quickscope" or "Wallbang" in the same sentence.
