Those firetext blocks seems to be blocks that wont render.
Like doors/stairs/signs/etc
It seems only normal blocks will render.

I find it's easier to find diamond making your own mine instead of going through caves.

If you're going for your own mine then you need to think if you want to cover all of a small area or most of a large area. Diamond seems to be most abundant about 10-20 blocks above ground zero and is spread out quite a bit between chunks.

Try making a blank map and using MineEdit to look where the diamond chunks are and trying to map out what patterns there are. Like I said, use a blank map if you don't want to cheat.

Yeah, I said this several days ago, if he allows EVERYONE in that can make an application into the server, it's not much of a whitelist. There's way too many people on the whitelist because there is griefing and nobody knows who is doing it. I made the giant Colosseum with 21paces and a friend, and I'm hesitant to make anything else of that magnitude from the amount of stuff going on (plus, Nerdy is going to do a map restart at some point in the future).

I didn't change a huge amount just grass, rock, leaves and wood I think. But I'm pretty happy with it.
Nerdy's server: the only place 5 guys can argue about how many logs it takes to make a stack of ladders when all of us have the logs to test it.
making a video of my texture pack just now, got a lot of fixing up to do, it's not at the stage where even i'd go 'oh im gonna use that' but might as well slap a WIP title on it and get some opinions.
It's not supposed to be a specialized pack, it's just a generic overhaul, it's higher resolution than the regular game so there are the standard fire-glitch-bug-thing on gold and brick blocks but I can't control that.
