On an on topic note, do mobs despawn after a time? I made a farm with a few pigs and sealed them in a house, after I got back from spelunking they were gone :saddowns:

Yes, apparently if you stick them in water they don't disappear, it worked with a couple creepers i trapped in a hole

Wrong. It's called competition and it is cutting-edge. Every year there is a much higher amount of people who attempt to get into game design, and very few actually make the cut and get into a career that's stable. Spending two-years having fun in electives, such as what Doomish is planning, will not help you meet the cut when it comes to thousands upon thousands of other people who worked like hell to reach their goals and are competing against you at every step.

The spider mob spawn I found is about a 3 minute walk from the surface. Gonna have to make a giant ladder tunnel or something to get to it or just not bother farming string

Well, i found 11 diamond in my cave, and not a single baby slime (i was on peaceful, and went back 2 times on normal to search them)
But still, i am confused, we can't find them, but i've seen videos of caves just covered in slimes.

I always play on normal and go deep as all hell, but they still haven't revealed themselves to me

The floor is only ever mossy, and it's always a small room so you barely get any
Find more dungeons
Yea, I thought it was supposed to be 100% mossy, but I've never found a full box of moss.
