You're inventory is coded into the level. If you play online, the server has the level. If it's a facepunch server, you just ask the guy for to upload the world and link you to it. You can then run the game in singleplayer.

He said in the comments he wants to work for himself for now and will still do for quite awhile. Although, he said he will sell out if he was offered $100 Million. lol

People post their server IPs here. Most of them would need you to be on their whitelist to prevent griefers. I'm playing on nerdygamer's server right now.

I kinda wish Valve work UNDER Notch. They're not greedy, so they would agree to sign a contract that only allowed help on things Notch told them to do.
Imagine if Valve was only allowed to fix bugs that Notch told them to. They could never hurt the game, as long as Notch oversaw what they were doing. Imagine the cool friday updates if Notch didn't have to worry about bugs. He could throw whatever he wanted in there, and valve could clean it up.

I seriously think that in the short term he earns more money doing it indie style then goign to a big company but in say 10 years he probably earn more by selling out

Anybody else not like the idea of serverside textures? It's all well and good for servers where the texture is a vital ingredient to the gameplay, but I don't want to be stuck with whatever crappy textures they give me :frown:
