Why is it an unknown file type?
Edit:
According to Notch's twitter I'm not the only person with this problem.
just save it as minecraft.exe
He forgot the extension.

Quick question, if a creeper sees me through some glass, and he's only a block away, will he blow up?

Anyone have any tips on getting minecraft to run at a semi-decent FPS on netbooks? We're going on a trip and I would like to be able to run it semi-reasonably.
Specs:
Intel Atom N455 @ 1.66GHz
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150
1GB DDR3
Windows 7 Starter
Anyone think I could get it to work?

Oh snap! Notch is coming to Seattle! In September! Maybe he'll goto PAX and I'll see him and be too afraid to say anything.

No, not even when you are behind thin door.

you cant live without persister huh
it's really not that special, just make a hidden hole and dump your items in it

Wait, did notch make them stay or something?
Because I remember them going away when you leave the server.

Yeah, you're right, I can't. I see no point in going into a server and working hard for stuff to have it all disappear (I think the items go away even if you throw them in a hole after a while). So until then I anxiously await it.
problem officer?

Just have an OP spawn your items back.

Easier said then done.
Also to the fellow minecrafter that want to play on my server. Sorry I shut it down. I am just a litte ticked off today about something. Once hey0's updates his mod I will start it back up with the whitelist and all. Also I will start a steam group so you can get down times and stuff.
Easier said then done.
What do you mean? If the OP is nice and helps his servers community, he/she would do that.
I reskinned diamond tools, icons for the n7, and then goldbrand (replacing the gold sword)

Ok to install new launcher for the mac- download the game again, (dont delete the other one)
Right click the new one and click "Show Package contents" Then, Contents>Resources>Java>, do this one both and Replace the MinecraftLauncher.jar with the new one. Then just load up the old one and you should be able to play online now :) I hope this has helped Ssome mac users :)
Nerdy, I applied for your server.
Furries have found out about Minecraft. Noooo!
What do you mean? If the OP is nice and helps his servers community, he/she would do that.
Well the op has to be in the server first. Plus just giving items lots of items to random people is not alway fun when your in a survial server. It kinda ruins the gameplay. It is best it you just use persister.
