I don't get why nobodies ever combined one of these awesome particle sims with one of the many other make your own physics sims.
I'm sorry but this is awesome... now all they need is the "make your own particle" like in burning sand... you could make one and give it interaction or weight... or viscosity... or some other stuff like color, but this looks amazing. They also need a size changer for the pointer...
They have one, scroll with mouse wheel to change the size of the pointer.
So that's how that works.
This is awesome but it need some time to get into it and understand a bit of physics. I think I am just to dumb.
This game is awesome, all it needs is the ability to mod it like the falling sand games. Also nitro or c4 should explode like when you place neutrons.
I got it.
Hey I got some question, would be really kindly if someone could help me. What's the deal with Plutonium and Neutrons? Also does Metal lead heat?
Hey I got some question, would be really kindly if someone could help me. What's the deal with Plutonium and Neutronium? Also does Metal lead heat?
It's Plutonium and Neutrons. Plutonium can be used for fission reactions to produce huge amounts of energy (the same way nuclear power plants work). Fission happens when neutrons ejected from the Plutonium collide with other plutonium nuclei, knocking more neutrons out, which create a chain reaction, with more and more neutrons hitting more and more plutonium.
Thanks a lot :D

Once good way to make a nuclear fission bomb is to make a circle of metal, fill it with plutonium, then put some neutrons inside.
Yeah did this, it's great.
A typo, I'm sure.
No?
No?
How would an electron being ejected aid the reaction?
No?
You're wrong with electron. The neutrons are absorbed by Pu atoms and this causes them to fission, releasing additional free neutrons that then go on to be absorbed and continue the reaction. e- may be released, but I don't see how it'd aid the reaction.
Oh, you're right, sorry, typo, dunno how I managed that.
Does nuclear fission create nothing but lots of pressure and lava?
Does nuclear fission create nothing but lots of pressure and lava?
It looks cool, too.
Yep, pretty much.

Or rather is there any way to make electricity out of it besides using detectors?
Hey everyone - we'd like to announce The Powder Toy 24.5. New in this version: + Some bugfixes + When you're looking at your own saves, you can see how many votes they have. + Copy/Paste via Stamps - Press S and drag a rectangle around the area you want to copy / save to your Stamps. Press K to see your Stamps Press L to reload the last selected stamp (especially useful if you're trying to paste something a bunch of times). Once you've chosen/loaded a stamp, it'll appear under your cursor and you can paste it in by clicking. Have fun, we hope you like the new release! p.s. : You should be able to update from version 24.3 and up automatically, without going to the site - just start up the Powder Toy (if you're already in it, exit and open it again) and click the box that appears in the lower right asking you to update.
Woo automatic updating. Now I don't have to check back with the thread to see if there's a new version.
The thread tells you the change log though, so it may be a good idea to check after an update.
The thread tells you the change log though, so it may be a good idea to check after an update.
True. Why is it every time I put lava in an open space like this: It overflows like that? Is the pressure carrying it out or something?

I love the copy/paste system. Also, could you maybe make "+" and "-" change brush size as well, for those of us without scroll wheels? I quite love my tracball.
Hmm, I get the automatic update box, so I click ok and have it updated, but then the next time I open the game, it says there's an update again even though I just updated. =/
Auto-Update does not work for me. It downloads the update, than closes and refuses to start up once. Than I start it up again and it wants to update again. The rectangle dragging for stamps cannot be dragged to the left.

Does anyone know how to modify the annoying particle limit? It's way too low :(
