How exactly do you create pressure?
How exactly do you create pressure?
create a chamber with the wall and heat it. Or you can cool it down with ice. If you open it it will either shoot air or suck air.
How do you set the fans up, I've tried and failed.
Easy. Just make the fan using the line tool (holding shift and dragging I think) Then, after you make the like you want, you click at the beginning using the line tool again, and follow the path you made. The longer the line, the more powerful the fan. Edit: Fuck. Someone already posted. Fail.
How exactly do you create pressure?
Explosions, gas, fire, air currents (i.e. those from fans) against walls, etc. You can use Pressure view mode (press the c key a few times or the icon to the left of the pause icon) to experiment and see pressure - positive pressure (i.e. pushes things away) is red, negative pressure (i.e. sucks things in) is blue.
I made a flamethrower like yours rayven, can you check it out? It's called flamethrower3deadsnipe I need tips how to make positive pressure
we really need vaporising water that metal casting thing sounds really cool. it'd be great if that was put in.
I just made a nuclear powered flame thrower, the save is nuclear_flame_thrower.
Lol Deadsnipe, I almost had the same idea as you. You can check it out by searching Ahmed (the terrorist)
We need some more filters, like the one that allows air current but instead of eating particles, it should just block them.
I made a flamethrower like yours rayven, can you check it out? I'd personally use liquid gas for two reasons. It automaticly build up pressure on it's own and because you capture the gas in the chamber while you have the liquid gas dripping out. Also, instead of fire you should use C4 or gun and put a fan on the back that sucks in enough air to not stop the fuel from burning.
we really need vaporising water that metal casting thing sounds really cool. it'd be great if that was put in.
There was vaporizing water in a really, really old version. It got really annoying and sucked so we got rid of it. The big problem is that it basically spams up the entire creation/screen with water vapor particles the moment it's created.
Well thanks to tinypic i got the image uploaded. Here is "The sun in a bottle".
We need some more filters, like the one that allows air current but instead of eating particles, it should just block them.
this i knew there was something i forgot to mention i hate how the air filter absorbs particles instead of blocking them

Use the basic principles of mine as a base if you want, though I'd suggest seperating the procedures (loading, pressurising, firing) like I did, alright it's much more work when playing with it but it gives good results.
Cool scaling is pretty nice, too bad twice the size is slightly too large for my screen. Also, jet pics! No flame :D
does this simulate bernoulli's principle? from what I can see it doesn't but it seems like a relatively easy thing to implement and would be pretty useful
check out "venturi throat" and "simple wing" by skylark - it sorta does.
I made this Gauss gun type of thing. Well, it doesn't shoot stuff in exactly super high velocities, but it sure does look cool. Any tips to improve it? It can be found with the tags of Facepunch, gauss and gun. Its name is Minorkos' Gauss Gun V1. Edit: I don't really aim for efficiency, mostly for the looking cool part. EditEdit: Fuck, I just rated myself disagree.
Here is my liquid gas bomb. Magnitude 3 kilotons. Phase 1 Phase 2 Phase 3 Phase 4 It was more powerful than my nuclear bomb.
Fill in the notches on the barrel with electric wall, it'll fire things out much faster then.
Yeah but it doesn't look as cool then. Edit: Tried it. The change isn't that big anyway, I'm going to keep it the way it is now.
How do I make particle emitters?
How do I make particle emitters?
CLNE + put a particle on it. CLNE clones whatever particle touches it.
If you did not know it yet, I found how/why the metals (or conductors) sometimes get stuck as electrified. If you move the spark away from the conductor while still holding down the mouse button, the substance gets stuck and generates electricity. Probably because it never recieves the information to cease being electrified, which is given off when you stop pushing the mouse button while on the substance.
I found that containing ice in a closed room creates negative pressure.
I found that containing ice in a closed room creates negative pressure.
search for oil pressure experiment (as tags) I made a little test setup to see the difference in burning materials.
I found that containing ice in a closed room creates negative pressure.
You mean a vacuum?
Aye, basically.
making realistic nukes is amazing fun in this game.
Needs a bigger screen, but awesome game.
