Haven't played this in a while, But I remember playing with Perf and Bulaba. I'm thinking of getting back into it.
yes, it looks almost completely finished on Liberator.
Is that like the new Nova? Fuck, that sucks then. I wanted to come back right at the beginning. Now I'll be way behind.

I haven't played since OR was first implented, which at that time there was only one server which was for testing.. Seem's they've made a lot of progress though, because just a few months ago half the game didn't seem to work.. I just pray the day comes when the EMU is finished and they can release their official server, Suncrusher or whatever it was called.
By for fun, he means that there is no blue frog. You start out small and grind your skills to do whatever you want. I got it installed, but am gonan wait till player housing will be available on liberator or on official. That's why am playing swg in the first place. :buddy: Also, too bad the only mmos with player cities are the dead ones. :/ AO, SWG, Vanguard....
Is Liberator a permanent server or what? Either way, I'm still going to wait for Suncrusher.... They still haven't updated the teaser image. http://suncrusher.net/
I might get back into it in the summer. No time these days
God damn, a lot has changed. Even the site. So can anyone give me summary of what has been done so far and what needs to be finished. I understand they're still developing on nova but the new sever is a "fun" server, so is it for people so they can play and not have to worry about character wipes every time something gets updated.

Eh, I'm thinking if I start making enough advertising money through my website, I'll purchase a dedicated server and host Emu with my friend back from the Pre-CU days since I'm a huge fanboy when it comes to SWG back in the "glory days".

How can I do that? I'm not that into open source development.
You join their team.
Thinking of playing again. I want to get my friends in, but they don't own the original. Does anyone know if it would work to let them install with my discs?
Thinking of playing again. I want to get my friends in, but they don't own the original. Does anyone know if it would work to let them install with my discs?
I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Off topic but for those of you guys that are waiting for Suncrusher to launch, I found a really neat sandbox MMO that you may be interested in, really unique post-apocalyptic "rebuilding society" setting and it has full terrain modification and building new villages. Oh I started playing again btw. New names are Spaceboy and Chuna
You know what they say... If you want to make it on Tatooine, you need to play with your jizz every day.
Does SWGEmu have Space yet? Oh, they don't? I'll check back in another six months...
Does SWGEmu have Space yet? Oh, they don't? If you are waiting for space, you may as well check back in another 6 years.
Swgemu just got a whole lot more valuable. Star Wars Galaxies shuts down this December
Thank god they're shutting down retail. This wouldn't be happening if they listened to the fucking fans saying "go back to the CU update atleast"
Sad to see the retail version going offline. I don't care what anyone says, I thought it was fun despite all the changes they made.
Thank god they're shutting down retail. I did enjoy the game - there was just something about it that i really liked. Housing system was also great. Nothing seemed 'urgent' like it does in most MMOS - the atmosphere was kinda peaceful as there was hardly any players.

The NGE kept the game going for six years, making it far more successful than it was.
Oh look this thread. Space yet? Nope.

CU was pretty good actually. With some more time to update it, I think the people that rage quit from pre-cu would come back. [editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
The games was hemorrhaging subscribers in year 2. The NGE kept the game going for six years, making it far more successful than it was.
The subscriber base dropped from 500,000 to 350,000 during the first big update. It dropped from 350,000 to under 12,000 after the NGE. The game has been kept afloat by the card game and merging of servers.
What's needed to play the emu? Just a retail copy I assume?
...I got a question. WHy is it taking that long to construct a Emu. I mean the full game has been made and all but... why Hasn't it been finished? It's been in development for a really long time, and it takes that long?..
