I am interested in trying this. What I want to know is, is there a half decent number of people active on the emu. Bounty hunting for real back in the days just looked mind blowingly awesome.
Bounty Hunters work best in teams, how about an FP team, or at least me and you? [editline]3rd June 2012[/editline] Anyone up for a team? Playing as a marksman, not Empire or Rebel, just came back on the main server for the first time in a while, the medbay was packed with buffers and there was actually a decent line, cantina was in full swing, SWGEmu is doing great.
Back in the day it took a whole group of bounty hunters to kill one jedi.
Anyone who is up for some SWGEmu should add me on steam, might start a FP group and get shit organized when I get the chance.
I think I might just reinstall :P
Does anyone know the fastest way to make credits for a swoop to use on missions? Grinding Jawas feels like I'm not doing it correctly. The reason I'm asking is because I never got to play this back when it was Pre-Cu, my computer couldn't handle it back then. :v:

However, outside of begging or having a friend with an Artisan hooking you up, Delivery Missions can yield decent funds. Take them in batches of 2, but make sure that aside from being worth a lot of money, that they are to someplace where you can take a shuttle to. 20 or so minutes(shuttles show up every 5 minutes and I always ended up missing them.....) and 400 creds for shuttles got me enough for a LandSpeeder(was 5000 creds), so it might take a bit longer for you. EDIT: You get Delivery Missions from normal Mission Terminals by the way. If you didn't notice, they have a button on top in the mission select interface for Destroy or Delivery missions. Not every city has the option to get delivery missions though.
Facepunch group is up http://steamcommunity.com/groups/fpswgemu after the next wipe I might try and start a guild
Best thing ever was back in the day, I stumbled into a random town on Tatooine and there were 3 jedi standing next to eachother and everybody on the planet came to town to see what was going on. A bunch of guys lined up in front of them and started shooting, the three jedi started blocking every shot. Eventually everybody in town was lined up shooting at them, but they were blocking everything. It was awesome.
so my brother found the discs for this on a job and gave them to me so I figured I'd try this shit out installing them now, is there an in-game tutorial or anything? last time I played was real swg (trial) post-CU in like 2008

yo this has space battles and shit right because I remember that from swg
yo this has space battles and shit right because I remember that from swg
Not until beta, but it'll be added eventually.
Not until beta, but it'll be added eventually.
What's your steam/ign or whatever? My ign is Geogzm Filgessad Also, I want to start doing like, bounty hunting quests and shit. How? :v: I'm extremely new and all I can remember about this game is flying ships, riding speederbikes and shooting the shit out of people in some asteroid thing.
Saw my first jedi in anchorhead, a bunch of people tried to gank them and the two jedi ended up just destroying everything.

[editline]5th June 2012[/editline] You know, I've noticed something, I don't mind the wipe on the 11th. Because Pre-NGE SWG is one of the only games I can grind 100 characters on, and have fun each one of those 100 times, meet 100 new people, go on 100 new adventures, and write 100 new stories, I just love this game.
Might as well start getting back into this.

So I'm in Kadaara and it takes FOREVER just to kill one of those weird-ass brown llama things. How do I get better at combat, and speed up killing?
What is the very first mob I should start grinding?
So you're the one that brought those fuckers into Mos Eisley? Then I would just stand back and watch as dozens of people fought the jedi master and got slaughtered. I'll never forget when the npc decided to go batshit crazy and run in to the cantina and killed all the entertainers.
What do you mean "pick up an extra profession"? I've got Marksman, from what I chose when I made my character...
He means go to the trainer and get the starting profession for something like Medic, I went with scout so I can sell creature resources, and get to bounty hunter faster.
What do you mean "pick up an extra profession"? I've got Marksman, from what I chose when I made my character...
If you took the tutorial, you also should have gotten an option near the end to get novice Brawler as well. You have enough skill points that you can completely master 3 professions or dabble here and there in whatever suits your fancy. Some advanced professions benefit from completely mastering their original profession. For an example, any profession that uses firearms(except MAYBE Bounty Hunter and Commando, dunno myself) benefits from mastering Marksman as total mastery gives a nice boost to accuracy and rate of fire for all firearms(except again possibly Bounty Hunter and Commando weapons).
Hold on a second, I made a character on the Nova Test Center (or whatever) and noticed I could instantly master bounty hunter and found it weird so I headed to basilisk...can somebody give me some basic learning on the basics of the game? It's very hard to tell what the hell is going on, or what I'm supposed to be doing. Once I'm on my feet, I'll be able to grind, sell or whatever.
