Was able to get a client and make a character, anyone have tips for leveling and getting money?

You got two options
A. Grind holocrons - Get rare holocrons, use them and they'll tell you what profession to master. Do this 5 times you unlock your force sensitive slot.
B. Master all the professions - Have fun with that.
Reading all this shit makes me miss the old SWG again.

Alright, i've installed the game and anything but my cursor only moves in a little box in the center of the screen, i cant reach anything on the bottom corners AND whenever i hit a letter on the keyboard it just enters into the chat.. but i cant reach the chat box
Great! I've played the original for a very long time (until two years ago). But do I need to pay for a month worth of game time to access the files so it can download the full game? I have no idea where the disks are.

I started playing SWG on the Ahazi server about 6 months after its release--loved every minute of it. Even when the CU was released and most of my guild quit, I continued to play and have fun. However, when the NGE came about, the game died pretty quickly for me. All of the classes I had spent time playing in had been revamped into dumbed down, pre-made tracks. Not to mention the combat system became a joke. I continued playing up until the "Rori invasion event" (which turned out to be a MASSIVE failure) and then quit for good; the last day I logged in was definitely a sad one.
I've been on checking in on the project every few months for the past 3 years, it has grown a ton since its beginnings. However, progress on it seems to have slowed down in the past 6 months or so, and I'm worried that the release of SWTOR will greatly hinder it. Not to mention that every year it remains in development, the game itself ages--the graphics are very outdated and may turn people away.
Despite the setbacks, I'll be happily playing with the community when the project is officially completed and actual game servers begin to surface.
I can't remember where I heard this from. But weren't they supposed to release the server files to the public too when they've polished it enough?

Alright sweet, Thanks. and I changed the controls to FPS but now its hard as fuck to control speederbikes, I got lucky though, some fellow by the name of SgtDrix joined up with me and started killing shit, he bought me a speederbike too =)
I have a fried who has to Original disks to this, I'll try to bum it off him next time I see him...

I remember when I played this it required a buff to wear a full suit of armor. This still the case?
I wonder what I should train for. Any combination of the following stand out?
Doctor, Combat Medic, Carbineer, TKA, (Any more Notable Ones)
