Don't ask FP about this, RTS fans will be saying their game is the best and grand strategy fans will be saying their game is the best.
SC2 is the best RTS I've ever played, and Victoria 2 is the best paradox release I've ever seen. I'd get SC2 now and wait a few months so that Victoria can get a bit of polish.

starcraft 2 is overrated.
Don't listen to SC2 fanboys, if you want fun get VC2, if you want balance, multiplayer and whatnot, get SC2
there are thousands of RTS's better than starcraft 2 out there that don't sacrifice anything over balance.

If you're not mentaly handicapped you can get it for around 40$ which is not much at all for a new game like that.
Don't listen to the VC2 fanboys. Starcrat 2 has great custom maps, Good multiplayer, Huge community and a great campaign. But don't listen to anyone of us. Try both of them, Then buy the one you like. It's not hard at all.
