The disc seen in flash animation is Phaistos Disc, so the next AC will probably feature Altair going to Greece and/or Malta...

That does look pretty good, frankly.

So, what does [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/arabic.png[/img_thumb] and [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/arabic2.png[/img_thumb] mean?

Altair was such a 2D character.

I think I've seen this item before (IRL). Iirc it was an ancient calendar or something?
Edit: Holy shit, It's one of the Dropa Stone Discs, the Phaistos Disc which was found in Crete. It's from 1700 B.C. from the great Crete city of Phaestos.
http://www.crystalinks.com/phaistosdisc.html
It has been theorised that it is an encrypted message of decryption key of sorts.
Edit5: Ancient greek creed?
I have in mind that it would be interesting if the Assassin in AC3 would be a pirate.
There could be a good mixture of sword & gun play, exploration, free-running could be possible when being in different harbours (especially if it's a city build on the side of a mountain), also think about how awesome swordfights would be in a battle of two ships.
I rated this post a Winner.
I am still playing Asassin's Creed Brotherhood, at the moment. I have loved the series so far, will be interesting to see what they come up with next.

Ancient greece was before the forming of the Assassins in Syria and Persia. It can't really go back any further than Altair unless they make up something that says the Assassin's actually moved there from somewhere else.
Besides, it's obviously a piece of eden and its existence isn't limited entirely to ancient greece, it could be modern greece too.
My guess is that we will play as Altair, but in another location, Greece, Cyprus, or somewhere nearby.

Altaïr already went to Cyprus.
Also, who said the Syrian branch was the first order?
They were around in ancient Rome, big chance they were around in Greece too.
I wouldn't mind to play as Altaïr, if they add more cutscenes and more emotional aspects to the game it will surely be awesome. Needless to say that Altaïr changed his attitude and characters after the event of killing his old master and retrieving the piece of Eden.
Playing as a wise and good Altaïr would be awesome, or maybe they add a twist and let the main protagonist be a complete asshole and selfish. It would be a nice variety.

The assassin's go back to Ancient Greece, they assassinated Alexander.
Play as Jack the Ripper in AC3
The whole gutting prostitutes thing was a Templar smearjob.
You can never go too modern with the Animus sections because then things like free-running, etc, can no longer play as big a part - realistically. I'd say the invention of trains is pretty much as far as you can go.

Oh yeah.
Hmm this is one of those things where they make the history in game slightly different to irl.

Historical evidence.
They've made a few things a bit different to aid the story.

Low rooftops aren't extinct today. The game could be set in a low built location of the world if it were to be somewhat modern.
lol like New York where the tallest building would be 20 meters.
I want Nazi Germany. Hitler was actually a Templar and Goebbels an Assassin that killed him.

Reminds me of Ray from Call of Juarez.

Shit, that is fucking Ray.
I just want split-screen and an okay-big world, and I'll run and preorder, after doing a little dance of happiness.

If that's true, that would be just ridiculous... who wrote the AC story...
from wikipedia:
"[...] in Assassins Creed 2 where [Hitler] is depicted possessing a piece of eden.
In the Assassin's Creed series, Adolf Hitler was a Templar who used a Piece of Eden to take control of Germany. In response, his fellow Templar leaders Winston Churchill, FDR, and Joseph Stalin attempted to thwart his plans. Instead of committing suicide, he was killed by the Assassins."
yep, fucking ridiculous

I mean that, once you get stuff like cars/trains the game becomes a different beast.

I actually just made fun on Hitler being a Templar. :v:
Also, can anyone tell the architecture of the castle in that picture? That might get us a bit close to the game time.

Another reason for wartime europe, bensine nowhere to be found and most all rides are army resources anyways.
Greece is perfect for AC

I like the idea of using the piece of Eden to claim power. The Puzzles in ACII were great, telling that the pieces of Eden give power and the whole conspiracy. It's great.
It would've been so cool if the second assasins creed was the futuristic setting from assasins creed 1, that would feel more like an actual sequel instead of just another game meant to prolong the life of the series :smith:
It was very actual plot developement :colbert:

I rated this post as...
Aww crap, I'm late.
Ok, 3rd flash animation on facebook page shows Hagia Sophia and Tughra of Suleiman the Magnificent...
So, Turkey is prolly one of the places next AC will take...
I hope not because I don't like setting at all. Turkey is not my cup of tea, but I bet they will do it just right. If that is really the final setting.
