I would still take half life 1 over modern warfare 2 any day
I would still take half life 1 over modern warfare 2 any day
I would take most games over Modern Warfare 2 any day.
I played it not long after it released and didn't think it was "HOLY SHIT AMAZING" or anything, just pretty OK. The shooting wasn't that great, and the story, though well told, was hilariously cliche. Of course, thinking this makes you dumb, apparently.

I still love the game. I always will honestly.
To me, even by today's standards this game is pretty amazing... even nowadays not many games utilize solving puzzles with the help of physics in an FPS and the cinematic feeling that the game delivers all in real-time, plus the brilliant transitions in atmosphere... one moment you're up on the surface fighting the combine in an action packed scene and a minute after you're chilling in fear hearing the zombie moans surrounding your area in some tunnel/cave. You might say I'm exaggerating with my response but these elements altogether are quite unique in comparison to most shooters even these days.
I don't expect Episode 3 to be any different. It will run on the same engine and have the same formula as the previous games. But i do expect people to love it like the previous one's.
I severly doubt this will be the case. What do you think is taking it so long? I have a feeling they have something huge up their sleeves and when they annouce it it's going to be incredible.

Play through the whole second half of the game with only the Gravity Gun and you'll see why people thought it was so cool when it came out nigh 7 years ago. Most people today complain that the game isn't as amazing as they're led on to think it is by their peers, and they're right, it hasn't aged as well as you might think, but most of them hardly even use the Gravity Gun after getting it because ammo is practically thrown at your face until near the end of the game when all your weapons are vaporized. My point being, if you use the Gravity Gun for something other than the physics puzzles, you may get a hint of why it was such a revolutionary game way back when.
