I've never heard ANYONE call Vanilla WoW Classic.
For me Classic was good, but BC was better. I don't feel that wotlk improved the game in some areas.
I remember when Barrens chat was Barrens chat.
I've played WoW since beta. Classic WoW was great, but whatever. Personally I wouldn't want to go back to it, once I cleared Naxx it was boring as fuck.
Remember seeing some guy on MMO-C with details of world first kills. Time in days from availability to first kill saw Yogg+0 Sarth3D and Algalon top. Beating Illidan C'thun Kel (old naxx) and Kil'jaeden by a long way. Vanilla to me was falsely "hard" because finding 40 people who all knew everything they needed to know about class, role and boss was near impossible. There are far too many resourse sites now to assist even the worst players that PuGs are able to shit most content with a few solid key players proping up the raid.

I wont have time for the classic wow, Wotlk is much more for casual players.
Wow Classic.. Gooood timeees.
I played WoW before BGs existed. Much preferred PvP then.

Algalon and Yogg+0 were artificially delayed by putting a wall off prerequisites in the way, or making it poor strategic choice to go for. Algalon obviously had the whole load of hard modes required to learn prior to learning the fight itself. In addition the fight itself was rather simplistic, there was some skill involved for the star killer in the timing but for healers/dps it was mainly gear/raid comp. I know from a rogue point of view the fight was really piss simple. Yogg+0 was a poor strategic choice to rush for most guilds because as you took away titans the difficulty curve wasn't so harsh until 1 to 0, because of this I think many guilds delayed their attempts. That being said I think it was an extremely difficult fight which required many very well geared people and unusual raid stacking (many affi warlocks and fok rogues). Not 100% on my names of things as I've not raided for ages.
Apart from select dungeons and raids, i felt TBC blew, at least questing wise
Sort of depends for what I want out of a game at that certain time. Some times I like the casualness of being able to PuG ICC and have very few problems. Some times I wish my guild actually had something challenging and not monotonous to do.
OP's life revolves around WoW and he can't spell "elves" or "Draenei". God, anyway, When I started playing the burning crusade came out like a year afterward. Didn't really play much of the original but when I went back to old raids and stuff I had fun, more fun than the new ones.
That's because you were overgeared and it was trivial content. I did old raids and they sucked.
Still got my pvp title :D. Being a mage was more fun when CC meant something
Why do people think something being time consuming and slow is the same thing as something being hard. You could fucking AFK and use wands/auto shot in those raids. Well not totally but they weren't demanding in any way besides trying to round up 40 people and keep them from pulling the fucking core hounds and killing everyone. Classic WoW wasn't as good as wrath no matter how many people looking back into the cloud of nostalgia say it is.
