if the world doesnt end lol
Naw, it'll probably release earlier in the year so you'll have a few months to finish it in. :P
lol, but then noone will have time to make decent mods for it, so i hope the vanilla game is good.. i hope they bring back the old stalker, like the old betas, that would make the end of the world alot better lol
You could try for the GTS 250; which is the latest, and probably last, descendant of the eternally relevant 8800 GT. Plain DX10, but it's pretty much the graphics card of the decade. If any one such thing exists.
Look at my thread in PC Building about 9800GTs. Basically they have the same performance as 8800GTs but they are $50 with rebate.

Plain DX10, but it's pretty much the graphics card of the decade. If any one such thing exists.
I would go with this Due to the fact that i Currently own this card From PNY [link]http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133322&cm_re=250_gts-_-14-133-322-_-Product[/link] Thats the newegg page and its 94$ with a rebate (124 Without) ITs an amassing card that runs all my games maxed out, so i would buy it P.S. I didn't look at your specs but If your Running AMD on a Windows 7 machine you will need a Phenom II To get good performance along with DDR3 Ram (At least My 7 Was like that)
im not sure what type of ram it is, im pretty sure its ddr3, and 8 gigs of it lol so i guess im good with the ram part of it, and yes i have a quad core phenom II 2.6 ghz so yeah all i need is a grafix card and im set i guess, but ill have to go with the 9800gt becuase my uncle has one of those(yes...my uncles a gamer lol) so i know a bit more about those than i do about the gts 250
