How will this game even remotely fit in with Bioshock 1 and 2?
It's not supposed to. And quite honestly, I am glad they're going for a change of setting. Two full games is enough to display an entire underwater city. Rapture was getting kind of repetitive; the real invigorating thing about Bioshock and Bioshock II was their plots.
bioshock 1 devs were bragging about how great the water is in bioshock 1, so I guess they're gonna be bragging about how great their air is this time
Here's the best one on YouTube so far: [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pV_TDxl2UIo[/hd]
meh this looks silly. Looks more like a complete fantasy game than anything else. At least with Bioshock you didn't have to suspend all your belief, which kinda made it more interesting.
That's not true. The Xbox version of games get leaked weeks before release.
But 95% of Xbox users don't mod their consoles because they don't want to get banned from XBL and just buy games at retail. It doesn't matter how easy it is to hack Xbox games when the vast majority of console users play by the rules.
cant wait to try to skydive
I don't know about this but its beautiful. Does seem a tad too unrealistic but we're talking about bioshock here.
Another console garbage like Bioshock. I want something like System Shock, not a console shooter. Why they don't listen their fans?
Because their fans want more Bioshock?
For the record, the Bioshocks were pretty mediocre once you get past the decent narrative. It's just another mindless shooter only this time they're RIDICULOUSLY easy thanks to there being no real penalty for dying.
AWESOME. Can't wait :P Don't care if it's not in the sea your now in the sky (game prob will end up back in sea but who knows lol)
I feel sad for people who think Bioshock is a masterpiece. Pathetic console players, and youngsters, they don't even know what System Shock is. Bioshock was nothing, but a basic shooter with terrible game mechanics. Ken Levine can suck my dick. I no longer want him to make another System Shock game. He would turn it into a console shooter.
They keep milking Bioshock like a god damn whore cow. LEAVE BIOSHOCK ALONE! YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL IT EVEN RELEASED FOR YOU BASTARDS!
I think milking Bioshock would be another Rapture game. This has creativity, with a completely different environment and a completely different story. It feels 'right' as a Bioshock sequel. I think more people are finally figuring that sequels don't have to be exactly canon with the story or have to be a prequel or sequel, but rather can be homage and give the same 'feel' and 'idea' that the original game wanted to convey.
Look at this man's pants. How can this game not be good with pants like this.
I don't know how to feel about this. I'm a die hard fan of the first two Bioshocks and I've grown so attached to the underwater setting. Rapture is where the heart is.
Look at this man's pants. How can this game not be good with pants like this.
Pants AND muttonchops!
:10bux: Booker is Ryan's friend and Ryan got inspiration from Booker.

The trailer signaled that Infinite is a first-person return to the style of idea-driven historical science fiction of BioShock, but set in the skies. Later, Levine would tell me that the game is thematically tied to the work he did in first BioShock in that it is another game about a strange and yet strangely familiar place as well as about expressive, variable gameplay. He doesn't call it prequel though and drew no narrative connections between the BioShocks we have played and the one his team is making. "I don't want to think about that," Levine said to me. "I don't think it's particularly constructive to have that conversation."
Maybe it's not related to Bioshock 1 and 2, hence the title.

In the case of Bioshock it was the atmosphere and narrative. As for the dying bit you can turn off the Vita-Chambers if they annoy you. If you die, tough shit, restart.
I think it should have been called Sky-oshock. Eh?

Flying city with cyborg/robots that turn against there creators? Sounds more like System Shock 0 instead of Bioshock 3.
I'm actually glad they chose a different setting for the new game. Honestly if it was another game in Rapture I would only go "been there, done that". The only problem I have with it is that it's set in the past. I want a Bioshock game set after Bioshock 2 so I can see how far Plasmids and stuff have advanced.
I dislike steampunk :saddowns:
Skyoshock
Skyoshock
Nice try bud.
Never played Bioshock 2, but I liked Bioshock 1. I love the environment of this one.
I dunno why, but I want to say this takes place after the previous Bioshock games somehow. Technology is even more advanced to a point then it was in Rapture. Either America got their hands on some major aspects of Rapture's structure or the American flags are actually some sort of altered thing like the Confederacy was. These are just guesses, though, so v:v:v.
I dislike steampunk :saddowns:
I like steampunk :saddowns: Well, only certain kinds anyway
