Void rays basically win against anything once you have enough
Unless you have 200/200 marines.
stimmed An asston of void rays chews through marines HILARIOUSLY fast. It may not beat them, but it's sure fun to watch.
unless you darkswarm your units lol i wish
idra mode engage
The reason there are no zergs on this thread Are because mods like you post these post
Void rays basically win against anything once you have enough
I didn't really have any options in that match, even scouting him, I just knew he had some voids, not nearly that number, and I didn't have much chance to beat him before he had that many voids, walled in instantly. Cliffwalkers for zerg please blizzard.
Terrans represent. Anyway, I'm 0-2 in my first 2 matches ever in Practice league without watching any videos. Woohoo. If I uploaded replays, could anyone critique them?
Burrowed movement should allow cliff walking.
Ultralisks should cliff walk Either that or introduce the brutalisk in for the zerg as a mothership type unit
leviathan unit for zergs
I'd rather get a version of the lurker back than either of those.
http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/53794-1v1-terran-novice-blistering-sands Here's my 2nd game I ever played. If anyone could give tips, much appreciated.
How are ultralisks supposed to cliff walk? Research technology to make their legs extra long? Attach suction cups to their feet? [editline]12:26AM[/editline] I can't really see a viable way to implement that.
Void rays basically win against anything once you have enough
if you let them get enough you deserve to lose
I'd rather play zerg. Speaking of toss, I lost to 20 or so void rays. I destroyed his first wave of them with my hydras, was only 10 or so then. I build 30 or 40 mutalisks, he rolled out again with 20 or 30 void rays and just decimated my forces and everything, even with focus fire. Tried to build enough corruptors, but that didn't happen. Lost that one, then rolled over a terran player with 20 corruptors and 20 mutalisks to combat Battlecruisers and vikings.
you can make mutas much faster than void rays. should have harassed his workers.
I didn't really have any options in that match, even scouting him, I just knew he had some voids, not nearly that number, and I didn't have much chance to beat him before he had that many voids, walled in instantly.
if you let them get enough you deserve to lose
if they have 20 void rays, yeah pretty much [editline]12:37AM[/editline] Double gas steal works well against zerg as protoss if you have the minerals. Delays roaches or T2 for a good long while and you end up lightyears ahead of them.

I have never said zerg are incredibly weak, they're not. They're just a step behind with the lack of wall in, anti armor, and cliff walkers.

[editline]12:40AM[/editline] I'll give you anti-armor but I don't think it needs either of the other two. [editline]12:45AM[/editline] By the way cornndog, I don't hate zerg. I sometimes play them 1v1. I was just joking around. You seem a tad worked up over SC races
I agree with the anti-armor, but if you ever really NEED to wall in, I suppose you could use spine crawlers, but that's really stupid, as zerg is all about map control, not turtling in your base. I think that the lack of cliff walkers kind of balances with the fact that zerg has the most effective harrass unit in the game - mutas. If you micro them right and pay attention to them, you can seriously cripple another players economy. Reapers don't do shit past early game unless they're massed (which leaves the terran with no army), and pheonixes tend to die really fast, and when they're out of energy they're useless til they recharge.
You can wall in as a zerg with spine crawlers! :eng99:
You can wall in as a zerg with spine crawlers! :eng99:
I miss Sunken Colonies.
The wall in thing is more just a realistic equalizer, I would never really use it as zerg. I have too much fun trying to control as much of the map as I can. [editline]09:59PM[/editline]
You can wall in as a zerg with spine crawlers! :eng99:
Mid game. Defeats the purpose of walling in if you can't do it near the beginning.
You can wall in as a zerg with spine crawlers! :eng99:
Well, I mean... if he really want to wall in... [editline]01:01AM[/editline]
Mid game. Defeats the purpose of walling in if you can't do it near the beginning.
As soon as the spawning pool is down you can, which, when I played Zerg, I put down at 13 supply. [editline]01:01AM[/editline] I consider that to be near the beginning personally. [editline]01:01AM[/editline] Need moar editline.
I seriously don't know what to do when Terran end up massing Thors and Siege tanks. Mustalisks don't work because the thors have excellent AA. Hyrdas/Zerglings/Any ground unit gets destroyed instantly. Burrowing Roaches might work if the player does not have a detector which is rare. And after it happens once he sure will get a detector next time. Broodlord's are pretty much the only possible way to counter this. But if they are supported by a few vikings you lose this too. The only possible start I can think of is getting infestors in a perfect spot to np the thors. Then have broodlords and corrupters sweep in having the corrupters throw corruption on the units while taking out vikings at the same time. Even at that, if the siege tanks kill your infestors you are fucked. It's just fucking stupid when zergs late game gets shit on by others late game. That's a poop ton of work to counter a terrans A click. This poop strategy is pretty much the only thing that is giving me trouble right now.
The wall in thing is more just a realistic equalizer, I would never really use it as zerg. I have too much fun trying to control as much of the map as I can.
You can wall with roaches as well
Off the top of my head, try fungal growthing the army, then send in lings hydras etc. By the time FG wears off, the army should be mostly decimated. If not, do it again.
Off the top of my head, try fungal growthing the army, then send in lings hydras etc. By the time FG wears off, the army should be mostly decimated. If not, do it again.
Fungal growthing siege mode siege tanks won't do anything. Even if you catch them off guard they could still go into siege mode while being growthed. You might be able to kill 2-4 siege tanks but as soon as they go in siege mode they can one shot your entire ground army. So in the case a ground army is totally out of the question pretty much.
Wow, that was a terrible match. about 15 minutes in he had about 25 zealots and came in to my base(I had scouted him) while I had only 30 speedlings and 10 roaches, I'm not doing something here.
Man I just played my best match ever, after a 7 match losing streak we were rushed very early on and managed to spam up a massive army of stalkers, and used a mothership to cloak them, the mothership is a god damn savior.
Wow, that was a terrible match. about 15 minutes in he had about 25 zealots and came in to my base(I had scouted him) while I had only 30 speedlings and 10 roaches, I'm not doing something here.
If you scout and see 2-3 gateways with no gas getting gathered. Go banelings.
I'd like to see the world oyu live in where this game is really 100% balanced as you believe it is. I have never said zerg are incredibly weak, they're not. They're just a step behind with the lack of wall in, anti armor, and cliff walkers.
so all races should be able to do the same exact thing, just with different unit names and models. each race is meant to play differently. anti armour? you have a point there, the only unit with bonus damage to armoured units is the ultralisk.
I agree with the anti-armor, but if you ever really NEED to wall in, I suppose you could use spine crawlers, but that's really stupid, as zerg is all about map control, not turtling in your base. Get roaches if the banelings fail somehow. Even though it's pretty much impossible for them to fail considering you are fighting a weak melee unit. Oh and by 15 minutes you could have around a shit ton of mutalisks. What the fuck were you doing?
