Get roaches if the banelings fail somehow. Even though it's pretty much impossible for them to fail considering you are fighting a weak melee unit.
Oh and by 15 minutes you could have around a shit ton of mutalisks. What the fuck were you doing?
I checked the replay, it was only 11 minutes. And thanks for the baneling tip. I just had another match that was going the same way, but I had lots of muta's up by about 15 minutes in and was harassing as much as possible.
so all races should be able to do the same exact thing, just with different unit names and models.
each race is meant to play differently. anti armour? you have a point there, the only unit with bonus damage to armoured units is the ultralisk.
you can't wall in with spine crawlers no matter how you place them. there is always a gap.
No, but for a race that can't wall in, it'd be reasonable to have a cliffwalker of some sort.
Other than that, and the armor bit, I think it's more or less balanced.
during that one protoss mission with the archives, all i could think of when i saw the big baddie was "THIS HURTS YOU SHEPPARD"
Only thing blizzard forgot to change from beta was the removal of terran. And I'm sure later they are going to make a patch where all Zerg units are invisible and flying. Then the game will be balanced at last.

He'd assume direct control of my units :tinfoil:
"IF I MUST RUSH YOU RAYNOR I WILL"
I just saw a protoss player 7 gate. He lost, easily too, but he went 7 gate, and tried to put a pylon closer to my base so he could just warp in. Wow.

Super fail proxy pylon
You could try using neural parasite on a lot of the thors and using them against each other
My friend is fond of zergling infestor, transitioning into ultralisk late game and muta if necessary.
i like using infestors to spew out like dozens of infested marines, best meat shield in the game
Infested marines are god awful.
I hope they fucking fix achievements
and make a better map distribution system

What's wrong with the achievements? I did the entire challenge one with gold and I didn't see anything.

for some people they are messed up :(
Infested marines are good for economy raids and harassment. Just plant a few and get out and let your energy recharge

Here's my 2nd game I ever played. If anyone could give tips, much appreciated.
-Set your CC rally point to the mineral patch, so that SCVs will start mining as soon as they spawn.
-As a beginner, you should put your first depot at your choke point, not next to a geyser.
-Barracks should come after the depot, not another depot. This should be used to help wall off your choke.
-Constantly pump out SCVs, you had the money to spare.
-This doesn't really apply as much to practice league since the expos are guarded by rocks, but don't expand if you don't have the forces to defend it. The extra income is good, but if the enemy destroys it with an early push, it'll put you at least 400 minerals behind.
-Keep an eye out for idle SCVs. Don't have too many hanging around when they could be mining. If you use an SCV to build something, make sure after you place the building, hold shift, then right click back onto the mineral patch. This way the SCV will automatically resume mining as soon as it's done building.
Just a few beginner's tips, but I would recommend watching beginner videos. Do a youtube search for "Basic Terran Opener."
There's no point in walling in with zerg when you have the strongest T1 unit.
Stalkers?
Just made Platinum 1v1!
Every game I join where the other team is protoss, I say in all: "Void Rays ain't no thang."
Then they make VRs and I rape em. Stimmed marines...hellz ya
It's amazing how there Terran/Protoss are pretty matched % wise their played, but Zerg trails behind :(
It's amazing how there Terran/Protoss are pretty matched % wise their played, but Zerg trails behind :(
out of the last 20 1v1 matches i've played, only 2 players beside myself have been zerg :(
I think ive seen 3 other zerg players.
Still, damn hard to play, i enjoy a good difficulty curve! :p
Had a good match night methinks. Getting tons better at countering and whatnot. Won all five games in my 2v2 and I believe 4 out of 5 or 6 games in 3s.

Really? I've pretty much played only against terrans barring one or two matches against protoss and zerg, normally they try to tech up to rush thors and battle cruisers so my stalker/zealot combos quickly warp into their base to massacre the marauders and marines he has a basic defense.
I had a pretty fun game last night, I met a guy who was just as much of a rookie as me (okay, a little better seeing as he managed to build a way larger force than me in a shorter time) and who also hated rushing as much as me.
Unfortunately he disconnected just as he attacked my base :saddowns: Such a pity, it's the first time I ever felt like I really enjoyed the multiplayer because I was actually given a chance to build up a decent defence force and base..
Messed up my Zerg placement matches by trying 6 pool for the first time, was determined to make it work.
Got put in Bronze, now at rank 4 in Silver.
Hell yeah Overpool.
Overpool?
Oh, cool, i can link and show how bad i am! :D

Are there any decent tutorial sites or anything out there? I'd really like to learn to play a bit better, as it stands right now I'm p.bad.
Youtube is a damn fine place, Look out for video's with commentary, really just try and take everything in.
Apparently zerg can just spam 30 queens, 20 infestors and win like that. Just lost to that bullshit, oh well. 40 Muta's and 100 zergling later, he takes me out while he has one last base that barely survives.

Any suggestions?
