Starcraft II Megathread V.1 'Hell, It's About Time' - Games

Ugh the practice league is awful, all anyone does is sit behind the natural barrier and build a huge force.

Played a few matches with gparent last night. We cheesed 5 of them, won 4. :v:

Also since the engine is complete, the MP is complete and the only thing to do is the campaign (and maybe add 2 units for each race in MP) they better give us something more than a 25-mission campaign with recycled mechanics from WoL.

Depends heavily on how the gamers will accept SC2: WoL. Currently the market is saturated with a StarCraft game and they will wait until people get bored with it before they tease us again with a new release. And hell, you're 100% right, we need a change and probably 2 more units each. Maybe the science vessel for terrans. I just hope they will release more patches.

Also I've noticed that Thors take ages to switch between targeting ground and targeting air.

scouting is important in the 3-5 minute after the begening of the game, not the usual scouting in the 30 first second, this is stupid as there is not really a clue to what build ppl are heading for

Man, I really don't get how to do this opening gambit challenge, the closest I got was 7 goddamn seconds off! I really need help on how to build stuff. There's youtube videos yes but none of them have vocal instructions so you can't really watch and play at the same time. I get the basic idea but I can only get so close..now I'm getting annoyed and my time is just getting worse.. Really need someone to help me or some kind of youtube video where someone talks through the process so I can get it done. I only need to get the gold for this and then I'm done with the challenges..I have the silver...just 7 bastarding seconds off gold. Anyone got any tips?

If you must scout early the only thing you should look for is if they are getting early gas or not. Waste of time regardless.

Stalkers are the best counter to reaper harass.

if i buy retail can i register it on battlenet and download the game? if not does the retail version require the dvd to be in to play? its not that i cant afford the £45 just imo thats a fucking ripoff when they are going to charge that 3 times
