Also since protoss are "overpowered" so to speak, they'll end up getting nerfed
and since zerg is considered "underpowered" we'll get buffed.
Kerrigan smiles upon me :woop:
Protoss are fine, if anything Terran will be nerfed and Zerg buffed (Zerg aren't that UP really, it's only the lack of T1 AA and T1 that sucks a bit, once you get to T2-T3 they are great). Still, Zerg are the least played in all regions (even Korea), by quite a lot too, so Blizzard will buff them.
Protoss only have Void Rays, which might not be the bundle of rape and pillage that everyone says they are, but they are still way too powerful (for the rest Protoss are fine).
But yeah, when they do buff Zerg I'll be all :woop:
Guys I feel like a complete asshole, either that or I'm the god of cheesing.
It was me and this other guy, ZvZ, so I decided to mix things up a bit.
I 7 pooled and built a spine crawler on his creep (just far enough so that he couldn't see it, but it could attack his hatchery.)
Rage ensues. Also replay shall be up in a moment.

Anyone care to explain Cheesing to me?
Also, finally won a match in bronze league! :woop: even saved the replay.
Cheese generally refers to an all-in strategy that relies on surprise to win a game early without serious resistance. A successfully executed cheese attack will catch the enemy early in their opening, while sacrificing early game macro.
Examples Of Cheese
Cannon Rush (Protoss) - Building a Forge immediately after the Gateway while placing one or more Pylons in the enemy mineral line, followed by Photon Cannons to stop mining and eliminate any army resistance that may have been established.
Bunker Rush (Terran) - Building a Bunker near the enemy mineral line while producing the first Marines, who then load directly in the Bunker to stop mining and establish a fortified position in the enemy base.
6 Pool (Zerg) - Building the Spawning Pool at 6 supply, then immediately spawning 8 Zerglings before an attack on the enemy base before the enemy's army count is high enough to fight the push.
I'm getting my ass raped in the Platinum league, i really wish i was placed in Bronze so i could work my way up
Ooh.
I saw an awesome Rush, he rushed straight off the bat with his SVC's and kill the toss's drones(?)

Playing against people better than you will definitely increase your skill level though, as opposed to playing noobs who don't know anything about the game and will likely succumb to cheese very easily and giving you bad play habits.

My mate who's never played SC2 got wasted and bombed my placement matches and now I'm stuck in Bronze league for a little longer. It's not as cool as I thought it would be.
i enjoy being in bronze i get to go all :smug: if i ever get to diamond.
Anybody know some good recording software?
I kinda wanna comment on some matches, it seems fun.

No just saying that bronze has a lot more bad players than platinum :P it would probably be beneficial for anyone who is serious about getting good at the game to play platinum level players, I know I sure learned a lot from playing -chu-

Never would've thought.
:v:
just won my first platinum match after losing around 6 :v:
He was protoss and tried Zealot rushing me, but I saw what he was doing from the start, blocked off the entrance and threw a bunker behind, held him off with upgraded marines 'till my cloaked Banshees made fast work of his base.
Just crashed halfway through a match. A complete crash. My computer decided to close Starcraft II and Skype and restart itself. We won anyways.
I crashed too after i won and clicked on score screen.
Two of my friends crashed aswell, one during the game and me and the other one right after victory. One freeze and two CTDs. I hope they fix it. Didn't happen anytime before.
Its the first time for me that SC2 crashes i played 2 matches before where it didn't happened.
Damn just fought another Zerg in 1vs1 and lost pretty badly. I have no idea how to counter their units (I rarely meet Zerg in 1vs1).
you people whine about nerfed voids being overpowered
I was there when roaches cost 1 supply and started with 2 armor. I WAS THERE.
That was back when the metagame for Zerg vs Zerg was having at least 1 more roach than your opponent. Good times.
Something being unbalanced in beta is different from release, there's a reason why it's called beta and not early release.
Just beat the campaign, here's my comments:
[sp]The dark voice HAS to be Duran--he isn't hinted anywhere else in the campaign. At the end of Brood War you discover that Duran isn't human but some kind of corrupt xelnaga. He created the hybrids and planned to lead them into armageddon.[/sp]
[sp]Duran is in the game. Not to mention in BW he mentioned he was serving a more powerfull master than Kerrigan.
For the record Narud<>Duran[/sp]
Damn just fought another Zerg in 1vs1 and lost pretty badly. I have no idea how to counter their units (I rarely meet Zerg in 1vs1).
Anything with a gun is the counter to Zerg.
Anything with a gun is the counter to Zerg.
Yeah but I'm a Zerg too. Mostly it's the Roaches that bother me, it seems that early on the only way to counter them is more Roaches.
Also I just had a FFA, everyone except for me was stuck on their base and 1 expansion, I had 4 and a Gold one, so I decide to fuck shit up and start smashing the Protoss on the other side of the map (who I think was getting resource-strangled because all he made was Stalkers, while I had fully Upgraded Ultras and shit), and all goes well I take out his heavily fortified (mass cannons and Stalkers) expansion, start marching towards the main when suddenly the other Zerg (which I had never seen do anything) arrives at my base with loads of Mutaslisks and Zerglings, and forced me to GG (my army was on the other side of the map, and it was made to smash bases and Stalkers, it would have been useless against mass Mutas). Lesson learned, next time someone is too silent attack him instead of the loud belligerent one.
Yeah but I'm a Zerg too. Mostly it's the Roaches that bother me, it seems that early on the only way to counter them is more Roaches.
Zergling into muta works rather well for me. Early roaches are a big investment, so use your economic lead to get an expansion up. If he attacks, just surround him with zerglings. They kill roaches until he has so many that he can't be surrounded.
