Eight matches won in a row with my 2s.
I'm only like 2 minutes in but here's a quick critique so far: -A little late starting the second probe -Not a fan of the third probe in the queue shortly after that. Delayed your gateway by 1 supply. [editline]01:13AM[/editline] -Continuously pump probes in the beginning. Don't let the nexus stop building. -Get your probe back on the mineral line as soon as it makes the assimilator. I use waypoints for that. B, A, place assimilator, shift + right click mineral line. [editline]01:14AM[/editline] -You have 300 minerals you're doing nothing with. Saving up in the beginning is utterly pointless. Use it on SOMETHING. A pylon, another gateway, something. [editline]01:16AM[/editline] The standard build order I use in early game is 9 pylon, 12 gateway, 14 gas, 16 pylon, 18 cyber core, and then wing it for there based on what you need and how many minerals you have. It seems to be quite efficient.
Cool, thanks. I'm slowly getting the hang of this haha.
Go for 3-gate off of 1 base instead of 4. I believe 3 is sustainable constantly on 1 base. Also, try to time your gateway building so they're all done right as warp gate finishes or before. Getting them after is a waste of warp in cooldown. [editline]01:56AM[/editline] I usually shoot for getting the 3rd one building when warp is 50% done
Just finished the brutal campaign with all achievements and missions done, yet it says 99% of achievements done, I've looked everywhere in the campaign achievement list and can't find one that's unfinished, halp?
does anyone have a good terran replay? i keep messing up the early game by not mining enough and not building fast enough

Unlike all of you I'm still in singleplayer since really busy this week and the last. I'd like to dedicate this post to poor Jenkins who took countless lives before he was ambushed. A memorial service was held with fire. Lots of it. :911: Okay he only died as I noticed his high kill count and decided to send him on a suicide mission with 7 medics.
What a hardcore motherfucker
That was a great mission.

http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/55078-1v1-protoss-zerg-steppes-of-war
Ok I haven't gotten through all of it but the two biggest things I'm noticing here is that you're not spending your resources at all and you haven't scouted his base much. At the 7minute mark you have over 1k in minerals which is honestly ridiculous and it gets worse. You've set up a pretty decent economy and then done nothing with it. It looks like it goes really bad when you don't notice the gold patch that red's taken and you haven't scouted out what units he has. From what I can tell it looks like you're just going for a little of everything because you don't know what to counter but those roaches don't look like they can hit air. It kind of looks like you tried to scout with your overlord at the start of the game but it took too long for his fat ass to get half way. I don't play Zerg or Protoss but I think you may have brought out your spawning pool too late as well, you ended up with a bunch of minerals there too while you waited for it to build. One minor point is that creep tumors can spawn a single extra creep tumor without requiring the queen anymore so you can use it for something else. Basically you just need to spend your resources and to scout more, send a drone or something at the start when you've got enough to compensate.
I've been so scared to play ranked 1v1 for a while because I'm afraid of losing and having a bad record. Time to do stupid things on the ladder and lose on purpose. Hopefully that will make me stop caring about my league and record and help me get used to losing.

I'd rather be losing to Gold and Platinum... anything but Silver and Bronze. The majority of these guys are complete jokers. I'm getting nothing but 6pool'd, cannon rushed and reaper harrassed. All forms of cheese, but never done quite right so they're always ridiculously easy to counter. As soon as my opponent goes for something standard I lose the plot and forget to tech up.

Same as a ladder game, unranked.

I hate losing to dumb things in 10 minutes. I still watch every replay, and see how to scout and defend things better though. I really need to find a practice partner though who will play a standard game and stuff with me.
I find the best are proxy gateways. Funniest thing ever. You get some goon try and dump 2 gateways in your base so you just take out his pylon and pull a number 6 on his main base.

I had 2.5 wins to 1 loss, but then I just went crazy and stopped caring so much now I'm like 1:1. about.
http://www.sc2replayed.com/replays/55115-2v2-protoss-zerg-discord-iv We were purple and turquoise. Had a epic turtleage against another that turtled. Match lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. Download the replay and put it in your C:\Users\Name\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\XXXXXXXXX\1-S2-1-XXXXXXXX\Replays\Multiplayer Then watch it on x8. Might upload a youtube version... It was pretty scary seeing all of those void rays. But survived and ended up winning.
It's better to be good, and have a bad record, than to be bad, and have a good record, anyways.

http://screplays.com/replays/sax/4553 This is me (Sax) and a friend (Sir.Haxalot) in 2vs2, they were slightly better in the ranking system. Anyway, I know I didn't play the best there, but it was fun as hell. The other 2 players go full out air, we don't have anything to counter it (voidrays and mutas). But check it out, it was a fun match. I expanded a bit too much and could made more worker per mineral field. But I needed all the gas. I checked the replay 2 times, and it seemed that I was the only one constantly spending my resources (not in the end though). Oh well, I thought it was a fun match and I hope whoever watches it laughs at our victory and my fatal mistakes :buddy:.
http://screplays.com/replays/darkrei9n/4555 Melonmonkey and me fought a Void Ray spammer here, proof they aren't OP. The only way they can get out and maintain a high void ray army is if they have a expansion, without it they can get very little out.

The toss player in my replay didn't expand until very late game. As a toss player myself I know that, to make voidrays actually useful, you need an expansion that gives you that extra gas and minerals.
Just got my roach portrait. I've only won like 3 games without 6pool or some cheesy tactic, because every time i go into a game that lasts more then 30 minutes it's always a race to see who gets air units first.

Whenever I try to do anything else I fuck it up badly. Currently trying to train against the computer as Zerg so I can get away from Terran. I'm so sick of TvT.

So far I have done pretty good, 4 games and 3 wins as toss. Though I have yet to fight someone who has tried rushing me or used cheese tactics :tinfoil:

:tinfoil:
I've just done another platinum match as Zerg and won, which is really freaky because I've only played zerg like once before this (in another platinum match, and i won that too) :ohdear: I just went straight for a natural expansion, stacked roaches, went for a third secret expand, got a spire and then shat out those air units like theres no tomorrow. [editline]10:05AM[/editline] Here is the replay if anyone is interested http://filesmelt.com/dl/Zerg_v_Protoss.zip Need help with it though, I'm considering switching from a terran player to Zerg
