There is a saved game folder going around that has every level seconds away from being beaten on brutal. You just go through those and you get all the achievements.
And no I haven't done it but I know people who have.
I'm gonna get a bad rep for this, but where?
I don't have the time and patience to beat everything on brutal.
hint: dont use diamondbacks to fight them
I did it and got everything. the key is to kill the marauders from the high ground. fighting them with anything else is worthless too since they are usually accompanied by firebats.

then don't get the achievement.
It's called an "achievement," you see. You're supposed to achieve them.
I just finished my placement matches, It thinks im good enough for gold :tinfoil:
My friend and I just got back from five game wins in a row. I think we've got our team building skills covered now.
This was the most crazy ass game I have ever played, a planetary rush gone bad. I'm Cookieman or Cookieeater in the video.

Haha, same with me.
Already lost my first gold match.
I love how 95% of this thread is about the multiplayer. I thought the plot was interesting enough for a small discussion.
I have to get this game...
NOW.

Does this game use Steamworks? Just a question.

Also, I played the shit out of SC, back when I was a (younger) kid, I was actually a really good player, should I expect to be good at SC2?

What? No. It isn't even on Steam :v:
It should.

Dash, are you up for a coop 2 vs AI later?

The core fundamentals are the same so you should get used to SC2 quickly. Unless you're a terran who somehow could only win using firebats, science vessels and vultures.

There was lots of discussion (arguing) about the story, and what would happen next, when the game came out, though it was mostly from people who couldn't think logically, people who missed things that would make their "theory" stupid, or people who don't know much about the story before sc2.

I'm a Zerg player (I was a kid), so no.
I love playing Terrans who don't know how to MMM ball. Just played a guy who had 4 raxes. He built all 4 early game, which makes them useless. You can barely pump out marauders and terrans at early game with your base, you're going to try 4 at the same time? Good luck. With half the amount of raxes he had, I managed to pump out not only more units but I had siege tanks that decimated his marines and marauders, when i went to attack his base before he even had a single hit on my units half of his army was down.
Zeratul is so awesome. The cutscene with him and Kerrigan was fucking amazing.
Won about 7/8 games last night, around 4th place in my Gold Division, waiting patiently to be promoted back up to Platinum.
Could anyone direct me to some good Zerg tutorials? I've had enough with Terran v Terran matches now and I wan't to switch.

That's called a mega-rax. It's actually pretty successful if you know what you're doing but it's sort of a cheese strat as you have to ignore gas completely.
I wouldn't go for a mega-rax out of Bronze though.
How can you support your team more as Zerg?

Mutalisk and infestor harass.
Roach drops are good for harassment
I don't understand the league system. I am still in bronze league yet my opponents were from silver league at first, and when I steamrolled through them people from gold league started to show up and now platinum. When will I advance to another league other than bronze? When I start losing?
Basically if you are on a winning streak it will keep giving you harder and harder opponents until you lose, so if you beat loads of plat players then lose to diamond you will move up to plat. The same thing applies in reverse for losing streaks.
So just won my first 1v1 by destroying a protoss balanced force with basically neural parasites.
Anyone chose [sp]Nova[/sp] over [sp]Tosh[/sp]? What happened?
Anyone chose [sp]Nova[/sp] over [sp]Tosh[/sp]? What happened?
[sp]Tosh uses his voodoo doll and messes up Tychus. Also he ends up getting killed by Nova. Oh and you feel like a complete bastard afterward for choosing some random ho over your bro. Pretty low.[/sp]

[sp]you go and blow up a spectre facility because it turns out that Tosh was indoctrinating people to fight etc, and you get a cutscene where he gets backstabbed by Nova, and you get trainable ghosts.[/sp]
holy shit our spoiler lines are almost the same length, even though we were saying different things.

Nova is hot, Tosh is an asshole. Can you guess who I sided with? :D
