This isn't just a game soldier, this is the real deal. Get training.
What is the best way to get better, should I just keep playing 1v1? I always seem get someone who has played the beta+starcraft 1 so I always get crushed.
Playing against the computer in 1v1 might help, and watching replays so you know what people are doing while you're stuffing around. As long as you know what units are hard/soft counters to what etc. you should be able to figure everything out given time. Don't forget to play some BGH or some FFA though so you don't get wrapped up in the game too much. I always end up finding myself playing the game to the point where it doesn't feel like a game anymore and I have to get away from it for a bit. Oh yeah and another point is that matches should be more evenly matched in a few days/weeks when the ladders sort of stabilise I think.
I love the fact us Aussies can play with NA. Soon as I get my copy in 3-4 days friendly matches! Also someone needs to create Metastasis v2.
YESSS it's here. But right now I have to be a good friend and go out on my bike. So I won't get to play until 5 or so.
So I'm looking for people to play with. I play Terran and was a low Gold player in Phase 2. I'm on the Europe server. Name: XNeon Character Code: 254 Add me if you're around the same level and want someone to play/practice with.
I was wondering if anyone happened to have a pass for me, EU
This is piss annoying, I finally get my CE, am installing it, yet fecking battle.net is down so I can't actually authenticate my copy. WHY?! And more seriously, have Blizz given us any time estimates whatsoever? I've got work in two and a half hours time D: Edit: Nevermind, came back up just as I sent out this post
2 hours 35 minutes. :smug: Nah, it should be up already.
2 hours 35 minutes. :smug: Nah, it should be up already.
Yeah, came up just a few seconds after I posted it would seem. Phew.
Just bought the regular. Buying the Collectors edition tomorrow. edit: I am that cool
Disable P2P, I maxed out.
Thanks! Went 200kb to 900kb
I just can't decide if I want to buy this or not. My 13 year old brother is 10x better than me at Starcraft. He plays for hours and hours every day. I tried it, and I just can't get into it. I guess RTS games just aren't for me, even if this does look amazing :frown:
Just bought the regular. Buying the Collectors edition tomorrow. edit: I am that cool
Rich bastard.:argh:
Has anyone tried out the Map Editor for it yet? I looked at it and it's definitely had a lot of changes. I'll have to sit down and play with it for a few hours.
Rich bastard.:argh:
actually, thats all my money, i just made a mistake that costed me a bit more, so now i have both.
Can't wait to get this. Friend gave me trial key, but it said it would take ~30 odd hours to download... I'm just gonna wait until it arrives.
I just completed (MAJOR SPOILERS) [sp]last mission for that doctor girl. I sided with the protoss. I feel like an ass for making her turn into the zerg[/sp]

I feel like an ass for making her turn into the zerg[/sp]
Out of what I understood either: [sp]She was already infected and knew about it, basically being an agent for the Zerg[/sp] or [sp]The cure didn't work, quite the opposite in fact[/sp]
Just ordered. By the time I'm finished, even Koreans shall fear me. [editline]04:02PM[/editline] possibly.
I'm disappointed that this game seems to be all about spamming units as quickly as you can, fuck tactics.
Fucking hell, can you change from EU server to US server? 'cause if I buy this, I want to play with my friends, not some random people :colbert:
Amazing singleplayer, but the multiplayer leaves a little to be desired (massive learning curve) Not that this matters too much for me, as I played Warcraft 3 for years without playing an actual Warcraft 3 match (custom maps hurrah!) On the subject of custom maps, can anyone reccommend a particularly fun one? I've been going through a few and some seemed good fun (Battlecraft) and other a buggy mess (DOTA clones). Ok, so I got up to that part on the campaign where [sp]You experience Zertul's memories. I don't understand what happens in the story however, because I couldn't understand the voices, they've got too much echo piled on. What does Tassadar tell Zeratul?[/sp]
Why is this happening? Whenever I try and change direction while moving, it just makes that line, and the unit continues to where I clicked first, then goes there where I changed it to. Doesn't sound like much, but it makes it very difficult for me. I probably just hit a button I didn't mean to, but I can't find out which one it is, so I can't toggle it off.
You're holding shift probably. You can queue orders with that key.

Played two games in multiplayer today ( not ranked obviously) and i won both surprisingly, zerg are awesome.
Shit the campaign is so freaking sweet. I also love my Collector's Edition.

Just hit shift once more.
