Anyone running SC2 on ultra settings? Agree for yes or disagree for no.
Ultra at 1920x1080.
:iia:
Pretty decent framerate too.
Is there any way to counter mass void rays as a Terran?
Early ghosts and mass marines work for me, it gets tricky sometimes though.

Ultra at 1680x1050. It's great.

But whenever a Mothership's on screen my computer shits itself
For lil' turtle terran noobs try watching

for people who don't know about him he is a very good Terran player. He streams all day all night, good quality, and fun to watch. You will learn a lot from this guy.

Yep, ultra 1080p
Daw my computer only goes to med-high and keeps running out of fucking paged pool.
Getting new computer should be glorious.
Has anyone tried the 1v4 against very hard AI? I keep fucking this up by letting them run around too long and the little fuckwits spam mass zerglings and try to lag out my computer so I can't macro/micro. Motherfucking cheap bitches, it works too.
Is there a good way to use zealots and stalkers together?
I mean how many gateways should I make if I'm going for an early-gate build and cybernetics right when the first one is finished? Should I make a forge?
Is an early expansion a good idea when playing protoss?
Anyone wanna do some Co-op 3v3 AI against Insane?
PM me for info.
We's gonna be cheesing them too.
ffffuck i want to but it's 2am

Zealots and stalkers synergize pretty well just by A-moving, my armies are usually very zealot heavy unless I'm going against roaches or something, because zealots do great damage, have great hp, and are dirt cheap. Throw in some sentries for forcefields and guardian shields so that your zealots can close the distance without being torn apart.
In general, protoss players can stay 1 base for pretty long, definitely longer than a zerg player and somewhat longer than a terran player. It's usually pretty risky to do a fast expand as protoss because it is hard to keep the expansion, unlike zerg who have great defensive abilities on the creep and terrans with siege tanks, bunkers, etc. All we really have are cannons and warping in units.
If you aren't getting pressured and you know you've got the edge army-wise, an expansion at 40-50 supply would be pretty good, unless you're going for some forge fast expand on lost temple, which is a rare case of being able to reasonably hold an expansion early on (could work on scrap station too).

Thanks a lot! How many gateways are good for this kind of strategy? Are warp gates a must? How would I efficiently use warp gates?
Any advice about countering a 6 pool as toss?
Sent my probe to wrong place so I didn't see what he was about to do till he had a sizable force of lings ready to go. After which he streamrolled my two rushed out zealots and it was pretty much gg.

Go move your base to an island and spam air?
Holy shit, I've read some pages of this thread. You guys seem to be pretty good at this game. Sadly I suck pretty bad.
Could anyone give me a small guide with terran, preferably a build order at the very beginning.
Just got this game and was wondering how people get good, I can't even beat the medium bots.
Won 8 matches in a row today. Still not out of bronze even though I'm playing pretty great. I seem to forget to expand at around 20 though like I should, and then expand at a steady rate from there trying to take much as I can, and I also forget to scout after the initial scout because I really don't know the best scouting method, but I've been doing well just spamming muta's and running over economies with them.

Watch some starcraft commentary on youtube and then practice, practice, practice.

sweet thanks

That's easy, what I'm saying is if I try that my computer explodes even if my graphics settings are on low because these retards patrol thousands of zlings backwards and forth for no reason.
I think I need to upgrade my shit but in a regular 4v4 I can run this thing on ultra with no stuttering.

Where do I get invisible zealots?
Dark Templars. Really good units. But it's risky to try to make an army with them. It requires time and a bit more resources then the other gateway units.
But they are powerful as fuck. Cloaked and have like 50damage or something.

Is it happening to anybody else that you maybe play one or two games against some medium skill or noob players and win to get you in the mood. But the next ten players you fight against are really good that dominate you with ease ?
It has happened to me dozens of times now.
They're powerful until the enemy isn't retarded and scans, morphs an overseer, or moves the observer(Which they should have produced as soon as the robo finished) and they all die instantly because they are made of wet paper.
They're only good for small harasses on workers. Especially good against terran if they've taken multiple expansions, send 1 to each and they'll have to scan each one unless they have missile turrets or ravens.

They're great for mixing into the middle of your army. Most Terran and Zerg don't bring a detector unit into battle until they think they need it. It's hard to tell when your units are dying to a DT in a big skirmish.
Is there anywhere I can learn about the various SC2 builds? I had a teammate ask me what build I was using yesterday and I didn't have a clue what to say because I normally just build whatever I feel like or whatever I feel will be catering to the enemy's weaknesses.

I find getting about 6-8 gates 1 prism and some of those anti air fighters is about all you need to get DTs in an enemy base and cause some major damage. If they have any detectors that fly you can shoot them down and if they do have ground based detectors well you can at least provide air support.

Edit:
Page king
I wish the friends list wasn't so informal, you can add anyone and they'll never know it. It could be a lot better, like allowing us to organize it into groups and what not, schedule matches between 2 people. Hell, once again, even chat rooms would be fine. Just set up a Facepunch chat room and bam, you'd easily know when people are on.
Unfortunately, we have neither. :argh:
