Anyone running SC2 on ultra settings? Agree for yes or disagree for no.
I can't with this little guy :( If I even glance at the shaders options my laptop shits itself. But I could run on medium for everything else or even ultra for the most part, but it slows down easily. So low-all it is. [editline]09:50AM[/editline] I still have those two guest passes. Just PM me for them.
I used to run it on ultra, but now I'm running on low because all of the good players do it. Everything looks just.... so ugly....
Yeah, fuck the Rookie League. I'm sick of being walled off from everything and the game being so slow, I mean.. I suck but I'm going into the normal league now v:v:v [editline]03:41PM[/editline] So, here's yet another replay of me vs. my friend that I'd like critique on, I forced him to play Terran so I'd have a chance this time though. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong in my build order as terran? I lose practically every game. Replay download
Oh fuck, I transitioned into silver. Anyone know how to defeat a fucking huge MMM ball? [editline]02:54PM[/editline] As Zerg
Oh fuck, I transitioned into silver. Anyone know how to defeat a fucking huge MMM ball? [editline]02:54PM[/editline] As Zerg
Get infestors, Fungal Growth will make a Terran rip out his hair. [editline]9:48AM[/editline] Gonna watch the 2 replays from post 4245 and 4246
banelings EVERYWHERE
Any advice about countering a 6 pool as toss? Sent my probe to wrong place so I didn't see what he was about to do till he had a sizable force of lings ready to go. After which he streamrolled my two rushed out zealots and it was pretty much gg.
Even though I don't have the game yet, what I would is try to block the ramp with the zealots and pylons, so they don't surround you.
Ah! Totally forgot about those buggers.
Oh fuck, I transitioned into silver. Anyone know how to defeat a fucking huge MMM ball? [editline]02:54PM[/editline] As Zerg
If you know an MMM ball is coming burrow banelings, they'll rip apart the the marines at the very least before the medivacs can heal them.
If you know an MMM ball is coming burrow banelings, they'll rip apart the the marines at the very least before the medivacs can heal them.
Magic combo: Banelings and Fungal Growth. He won't be able to run away as you eat his army for dinner.
Magic combo: Banelings and Fungal Growth. He won't be able to run away as you eat his army for dinner.
Make sure you have lings around to soak damage for your banelings.
Dark Templars. Really good units. But it's risky to try to make an army with them. It requires time and a bit more resources then the other gateway units. But they are powerful as fuck. Cloaked and have like 50damage or something. [editline]11:36AM[/editline] Is it happening to anybody else that you maybe play one or two games against some medium skill or noob players and win to get you in the mood. But the next ten players you fight against are really good that dominate you with ease ? It has happened to me dozens of times now.
:downs: Thanks.
One more guest pass is available here. Try and grab it.
Jesus, I just watched the 2 replays. I don't want to sound like a dick, but they weren't good at all. Communist Cakes (from the TvZ), you did so many things wrong. - Took too long to get supply depot down You built a refinery, and then after you hit cap, you started placing down the supply depots. You want them down as quick as you can (the usual is to place them down once you have 9 SCVs) so you can continue to make SCVs for your economy, which leads to the next problem. - Stopped SCV production More SCVs = More resources, the Zerg had 37 when you had only 15. You should have 3 SCVs in the refineries and 2-3 on each mineral patch. That means, at the least, you should have 27. - Didn't upgrade the Command Center MULEs are ESSENTIAL to a Terran's economy at the beginning. So not only did you barely have any SCVs mining, but you also didn't have any MULEs to bolster their lines. - Moved all of your SCVs to the Refinery. I sat there in awe when all of your SCVs went to the refinery, and I expected you to move them back quickly, but 30 seconds past before you realized what you had done. - Pushed out with a minimal force, and then lost them You sent out a heavy amount of your units that you had and lost them, it wouldn't be such a big deal, but because you literally had 15 SCVs for the entire game, you couldn't build them back up. - Brain dead economy The zerg had most of the map under his control, and you still were on one base with 15 SCVs before he even attacked you. If you had saturated your mineral lines and then grabbed the expansion right outside your base, you would've been fine. - Left your door open/No detection I read your discussion, and I'll tell you now that Burrow Move doesn't let units go up cliffs (like a reaper or something.) In fact, burrow move can't even go past buildings. There were 2 problems with what happened 20 minutes in when the Roaches came into your base. 1. You left your front door down, which allowed the roaches to ALL slip by and get to the back of your base 2. You had no detection possibilities what-so-ever. This allowed him to continue burrowing his units and you couldn't do anything about it. A missle turret at the front of your base would've prevented any of those roaches from getting in undetected. -- Dashiel, I'm gonna assume you're the pink Terran in the TvT. You didn't do as horrible, but you barely did good. - Lack of build order Your production didn't seem to be leading anywhere at all. SC2 is more than just mass units, you have to have an idea what you're gonna do with them. - Low SCV count/Stopped production Like the other guy, you stopped producing SCVs after awhile. This left your economy crippled. You only picked it back up AFTER you lost most of them to reaper harassment (which you were horribly out of position for.) - 2 bases, not saturated This is related to the above problem, you had 2 bases but they barely had any SCVs on them. - Lost all of your units for no reason This was a crucial point in the game, you sent all of your units in medivacs to the other guy's base, and then lost them all within seconds. If you're gonna do a drop, you have to make sure the enemy isn't in position to intercept. Not only that, but you also chose to drop close to the front of his base, which let all of his guys join in the slaughter. You were never gonna recover from that, especially because of the state of your economy. - Sent a factory into his base At first you sent it in, and it looked like you were using it for scouting (which isn't a bad thing), but then you landed it in his base and started trying to make units out of it. He didn't take it out, but that was such a pointless thing to do, as it lead to him building anti-air turrets. - General lack of inactivity You played the turtle game for too long and suffered for it, since your opponent was also Terran. 2 major events happened to swing the match into his favor, the reaper attack (which took out all but 3 SCVs), and your lack of units from your failed drop. You could've done a ghost drop and nuked his SCVs or supply depots, his base wasn't completely covered by Missile Turrets. Turtling is a very bad thing to do in a game like SC2. I know it's not much of tips, but these are the problems I've noted. There are probably a few more, but these were what stood out to me.
He isn't really an asshole. I don't think you know what you are talking about tbh.
lol i watched enough replays and casts of Idra I could write a book about his rages

With all of the SCVs moving to the refinery, that's becasue my mouse has this problem where it double clicks randomly, so when I selected one SCV, it moved all of them, to the refinery, and I didn't realize until it was too late. With the detection, I kind of forgot that Zerg units are cloaked when they're burrowed. But I understand now what I did wrong, and I'll try to correct it.
No I was the other guy, the one who won and who was called Dash :v: I'll pass your tips onto Najh though, eheh.
Oh. So I have to go back and watch you then. I should've put together your FP name and your ingame name. I was just expecting the loser to be you lol.
Oh thanks! :v:
