I think a good way to balance it would be to make switch hydras and roaches in tech, and make roaches bonus vs armor. Fixes no T1 AA, and fixes the no anti armor till ultras [editline]08:45PM[/editline]
If roaches could attack air then their massive HP regen would have to be nerfed because they would be better than Hydras in most cases after that. People only get Hydras for Anti-Air or to support melee units. If roaches can shoot down air then they would be better support than a hydra ever could.
When hydras reach critical mass they become pretty damn powerful because of their exceptional range, but they can be easily countered with something like colossi or siege tanks, so that is an issue (but if you get some brood lords to take those out ahead of time you might have it better off) [editline]08:48PM[/editline]
Aww fuck the latest patch breaks the "Play as guest" exploit, you have to log into battle net now before you are allowed to play offline Guess I'm gonna have to buy the game in order to play it now, too bad I spent $400 on a hotel and need to spend $400 for school so I'm not looking to spend any more money for a good while :geno:
Actually it was always like that. New patch = you have to log in again, I'm guessing because they figure if you are online to download the patch you will be able to log in anyways. So if you get another guest pass on a new account just use that one to log in every time there is a patch and wallah all the singleplayer for you once again.
Get Brood Lords and Corrupters to punch a hole in their defenses then fly in some Overlords, and pop the Nydus. They'll never expect it.
If by the time you tech to tier 9000 they don't have LoS of their whole base, then they're fucking retards.
If by the time you tech to tier 9000 they don't have LoS of their whole base, then they're fucking retards.
Well duh A giant mass of Broodlings would make them freak out a bit, I would hope

Really just realised how terrible I am as a Zerg player..

Best. Timing. Ever. I had about 4 minutes left on my guest pass, so I figure I can squeeze in one more quick battlecraft. I go in, doing pretty good, my teammate is doing alright, then out of the blue he just dies. So it is now a 2v1 and the guy opposite me basically sent a bunch of ground with no AA so I start spamming mutas, I had 3 muta groups charging at him and I used my 6 vespene gas to get +600 minerals and +1 income, with the 600 minerals I send out more mutas, and the guy starts building vikings and marines, okay, smart, then he starts sending ultralisks. I raped him pretty fast. This entire time I'm spamming mutas and they head straight for the last guy, so I'm praying I am going to win and hes not saving an armageddon and then I realize I had 4 minutes left. I end up beating the guy fairly quickly and as soon as I got to score screen it says "We hope you enjoyed your trial bla bla bla battle.net"
What's the best way to defend against early Void ray attacks as terran? I'm always losing against protoss because they make 5 void rays and fuck my entire base up. What's the best way to prevent this?
Marines with stim packs rape that shit.
Hey guys like my new avatar? (Original, isn't it? :v:)
I want sc2 so bad. *logs into sc1*

Void-rays have apparently a minimum targeting distance so if you stim your marines so they're under the void-rays. He has to move the void-rays to be able to shoot your marines. That's when you move them under them again, and just keep pounding them with bullets.

"We are x4 speed right now ladies and gentlemen, and we are watching NASCAR racing." That was an amazing match. Great ending.
Also; still looking for competent 2v2/3v3/4v4 players in EU.
Still looking.
I'm all diamond, yeahh.

Done two placement matches so far, I won both of them. Feeling quite proud of myself right now even though my first opponent was pretty bad (and that's coming from me.) I'm amazed at how much learning control groups upped my game.
nerf zerg buildings

Fucking infestors, how do I counter them? Seems whenever I fight a Zerg player my entire army ends up stunned and then raped.
Fucking infestors, how do I counter them? Seems whenever I fight a Zerg player my entire army ends up stunned and then raped.
Ghosts. Use EMP to drain their energy or just use snipe to kill them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEV9niTmeOU&feature=channel Best match I've ever seen.
Thank you sir that was the best NASCAR racing I've ever seen. [editline]10:45PM[/editline] Also Maar is a bitch on brutal.
Done all my placements, Bronze league :( http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3794151/SC2/DashPlacement.zip There's replays from all my placement matches, tips and such welcomed.
Fucking infestors, how do I counter them? Seems whenever I fight a Zerg player my entire army ends up stunned and then raped.
Ghost > Emp. Takes away their mana or whatever, so they cant infest.

Replay 1: Watch your queuing on your production buildings. At 4:00 you could have enough to throw down another rax for your build. The engi bay you threw down went unused for about 5 minutes; you had enough income to support the upgrades but you probably forgot like i usually do. You did a good job with the reapers though, you supply blocked your opponent for a bit. Also, you built a good amount a harvesters which a lot of players have trouble with. When you got your expo up you should have split your harvesters because your main was being mined out and ended up over saturated. Overall you did alright that game, scouting is also essential when playing games in higher level play. Expanding earlier would have been better since there was no aggression during most of the game. Replay 2: At the start you didn't saturate your Refinery. Your orbital command was a tad late, i usually get it around 15 or 16 food. I just noticed, don't send 4 scvs to build 4 supply depots at the same time. You don't need that much pop at that moment. Usually I have on scv that constantly builds supply depots and later in the game I add another scv so they build 2 depots at a time. With your amount of production buildings, you do not need that many workers pulled off the mineral line. Try to keep your money down too, at times during the mid game ~12 minutes, you let your minerals stock pile to 2000, the minerals your not spending could have been invested in more production buildings or an expo. You gotta keep stuff coming out of your production buildings, macro is pretty much the most important thing in the game. Ya, i'm too lazy to do anymore replays, sorry. I hope i helped you a bit.
