After playing for a good few hours, there's one thing I've found out.
I'm very bad at this game.
same :frown:
I always get enemy to lose by my banshees.
Just like my strategy, Str4t0s. They never use detectors or any Anti-Air in their bases, they just feel like going all out on siegetanks, marines and hellions.
Whats a good terran defensive strat for MP? I've never played multiplayer on StarCraft before, want to start off right.

from the above few posts, it seems anti air is necessary for good defense.
Hey guys.
2 starcraft guest passes here, PM me if you want one :)
Hahaha, that was great.
Have you gone bonkers? The campaign is pretty much the sole reason this game is good. Who would want to play an RTS in an ancient, flawed format, that has since been improved on and perfected by other developers?
Look, I'm not saying SC2 is a bad game. I'm enjoying it a lot. It just suffers from Counterstrike syndrome. No matter how much you polish, you can't hide the fact that SC2 is pretty much just SC1 with better graphics.
What in god's holy name are you blathering about

The easiest and most versatile terran build is the 1/1/1 build, which means you make one barracks, one factory and then one starport. It will allow you to react to anything quite easily.

AH WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!
Could someone explain to me how to get nova on your ship as shown in this pic?
Also, I'm on (what I a assuming to be) the final mission, char, on normal. Should I be prepared to be raped?
My brother is busy telling me how it's IMPOSSIBLE to [sp]reach the kill requirement in the Protoss' last stand[/sp] on normal despite the fact that both myself and my other brother did it easily on the first try.

[sp]Just be sure to make at least two bunkers for each side, quite a few siege tanks and have a few Battlecruisers with the Yamato cannon ready for when Kerrigan arrives[/sp].
1 EU Guest pass up for grabs to the first PM.
I noticed something.

Kerrigan

I mean it is know that Blizzard might borrowed a few things from Warhammer, The first warcraft game was going to be a warhammer RTS but the licence got dropped
Blizzard copies most of their material from Games Workshop, it's no secret.
Oh god I just had such a close call on safe haven [sp] The protoss were at my base and the purifier was hovering over my base after trapping all of my marines and medics so I scrambled all of my SCV's to build missle towers, with almost no time left all the missle spam from the turrets blew up the purifier[/sp]
[sp]"The second release, the Zerg campaign Heart of the Swarm, will have RPG elements. The player will level up the Queen of Blades, Kerrigan, throughout the missions."
Someone explain to me how the fuck this is gonna work.[/sp]

[sp]Probably like how you did in Warcraft 3. You had to level up arthas and other heroes didn't you?[/sp]
No way to play with americans?

Also I wouldn't say blizzard flat out copies warhammer, but it's heavily inspired by it.
Wow this game blew my mind!
I thought it would all just be some hacked on Single-Player with Multi-Player being the main focus (which is expected considering starcrafts known reputation as a popular multiplayer game) but the Single-Player was just insanely awesome, I loved how they combined RPG elements in there, I loved the storyline and how it was fleshed out, the characters and the pacing was all perfect and I liked how (even while minor) your choices affected the game.
Say what you will but I would purchase the game for £30 again even if it was just for the SP e it was just such a unique and epic experience, it's clear Blizzard put a lot of effort into it, it isn't some half-assed attachment.
At first I was annoyed about only being able to choosethe Terran Campaign but the length and depth of the game makes me understand why they done that, because so much detail has been put into it and there's a ton of gameplay time there and a lot of replay incentive.
On to the multiplayer, while a lot of people are arguing that it's just SC with better graphics (clear these people haven't played the SP mission from start to finish to truely appreciate just how good it is) they fail to see that if it's not broken don't fix it, Starcraft in my mind back in the day was the best RTS, it had the best mixture of RTS elements, it was perfectly balanced and while there were only 3 classes it meant that those 3 classes could be fleshed out and balanced in a much better fashion unlike games that used dozens of classes (I'm looking at you Warhammer 40k).
There are still many changes to the MP and these little changes such as new infrantry, upgrades, vehicles, aircraft and techology while minor in some cases have major affects on gameplay and how strategies pan out, a lot of people are failing to notice this, changing a game that's been played for almost 12 years isn't something done easily, the changes here are impressive they stay true to Starcraft (and make sure veteran players stay happy with the changes) but also really do make a lot of new strategies for players to use in there game and a lot of new counters that change the gameplay drastically, a lot of thought has gone into those additions/changes.
As a veteran player I was pissed with the removal of goliaths, firebats, hellions, science vessels and medics online but hell, it actually worked out. I rarely use infantry and if I do I make sure they die while dealing as much damage as possible seeing as I am more of a Banshee guy,
im a huge fan of warcraft 3, not for the singleplayer but the way you could play TD, Mauls, LOAPS and so more, is this available on SC2? if so ill buy it!
