You start with 6 drones.

in SC1 mode are we
bah whatever
it still works
I find it that Zerglings are very squishy in SC2.
Workers will defeat 6 Zerglings if they get a surround.

yeah i commented on that
the ai seems to go for that tactic and it does work
i've won all of my matches so far
all three of them
every single one had to do with me destroying their command center early game lol

you still damage his economy
I played some games with onox. He needed some guiding at first when we played against medium. We lost a few games then he got a handle of it and we mastered them! Yay! Then we bumped it up to hard and played a really aggressive zealot + marine push game and we won by a landslide! Yay! Then we bumped it up to very hard and OH MY GOD WHAT IS GOING ON
I have found that I can win any attack vs Insane AI to my base with Dark Templars, since they NEVER bother to bring detection.
And if you're not going with Dark Templars or you're T or Z, I've found that if you havea force large enough to fend of the first attack and the rush, he's only going to have half your force and you'd win. All I do when I don't go for DTs is make defensive units (or use a force shield as protoss) and just use lots of ranged units (stalkers, tanks, hydralisks...) to kill off most of the attack from high ground, then just kill the rest, then rush to his base and most of the time I'd win.
I think that the Insane AI has or infinite resources or faster spawn times, because by the time you get to his base he's got at least half the force he had when he attacked you, anyone else notice something like this?
My tactic is 1-1-1 build, which stands for getting barracks, factory and starport as fast as you can. You can make raven pretty early this way and you can make a siege tank force.
Also about the prophecy: [sp]Zeratul said that the Xel Naga are returning, but then the great menace turns out to be the Hybrids. So are the Hybrids going to be the enemy for SC2, and then we'll meet the Xel Naga in SC3, or was the prophecy misunderstood or are the Hybrids the Xel Naga?[/sp]
My 7 hour trial just finished so i alt+tabbed out of the game and bought it from g2play. Waiting for my key now :v:

Can I ask what league you're in if you're in one?
I found playing 1v1 as Terran that you could pretty much counter everything by building 4 barracks and just spamming marines in any league below Gold.
You have to win or you're pretty much screwed though.

[sp]Xel'Naga, or more precisely the dark voice, created hybrids to destroy Protoss and Zerg.[/sp]
I don't usually have problems with terrans at all, they can't guess nor see what i'm doing when im just holding a spawning pool and massing larvae at my lair.
I only build the nydus networks when i'm about to strike.
Of course people just usually mass air because it's a good tactic, then i'm fucked.
same thing happens to me, as the zerg i ALWAYS get fucked over with mass air units.
Edit: Also can anyone tell me how to upload a replay at all? Id like to put one up here so people could advise me etc.

[sp]So Duran is a Xel Naga or at least a Xel Naga agent (because I'm guessing Duran is the Dark Voice). Also I'm going to guess that SC3 will have Xel Naga, since their Hybrids will fail they'll have to do it themselves (I doubt SC will stop at 2).[/sp]

Me and my friend Alex played about four 2v2 matches. Won two lost two. He's a good teammate but he likes to experiment way too much. We lost the next one and got in the bronze league, rank 88.

I tried uploading a replay there and it said the same thing D;
Guess you just have to use a regular hosting site.
Training league for now.
Ah yeah, those maps are designed to have all the paths blocked by debris right? If so, for those maps I just thor dropped like crazy.
Does anyone have a guest pass they can give away? I really want to check this game out and don't know if I should start saving up for it yet.
edit: actually dw i just found out the game is 12gigs

You're not supposed to fight the workers head on, you should just run around and try to pull them off mining and trying to pick off a few stragglers.

[sp]The hybrids are the Xel' Naga. The Xel' Naga can't live forever, so they always found two races, one who had purity of form, and one who had purity of essence, combined them, and that was a new generation of Xel' Naga. They now probably want to kill the races they used, so that they can live for a while, and then start the cycle all over again.[/sp]
Yes, and it was priced at $30. Which I find acceptable. I will have a hard time justifying $60 two more times for a couple new units and some singleplayer missions.
It's not going to be "some new missions" but an entire campaign. But yeah, they can't do much for multiplayer.
Anyone want to play some 1v1 custom games for practice?
My info is in the op
Oh god, Dark Templars are AMAZING in placement matches.
I played 2 placememt matches just now. In the first match I start making vrays for early stalking, but he literally had over 40 marines by the time I had 2 vrays. I then make a proxy pylon behind his base, and start getting dark templar tech, and I start warping them in. Since he was trying to go against my Vrays, he's got missiles up in the front. So I hop my DTs in through the back, and I destroy his main base since he only had 1 missile turret and it was in a completely other place. By now, he already had expanded, and he did so quite well. I kept in sending DTs, but he made over 5 missile turrets and he made a LOT of supply depots which made going through his base really really annoying, but I managed to kill 1-2 missiles at a time and a few marines (by now, he had over 50.)
Meanwhile, I'm also making a lot of stalkers and around 5 colossi. I start moving these with a probe to the expansion under his and start expanding there. He must've thought I was going pure DT since he sent his force in without scouting and ran into 5 colossi, 25 stalkers and 2 sentries with his 80~ some marines and marauders.
Second game, I'm building lots of stalkers and colossi. I sent in my invisible probe thing (ohgod how's it called again?) and notice I'm not getting detected, and he's going mass viking and Thors. I put up a proxy pylon near his base and I just send in my DTs and he quits. I find it funny though how DTs can 4 shot a Thor.
tl;dr: I love protoss.
What does this icon represent? It shows up when you're training units and it's right under the minerals icon.

That icon's a clock. It shows how long it takes you to build a unit or building, or to research.
