Colossus rush will do the trick
Just starting the install now, cant wait.
So after a number of tries trying to beat the last mission on Hard, I finally just did it on Normal to beat the game. However, here is a protip I learned while trying on normal that I'll use if I ever go to beat it on Hard. [sp]Use Thors. Their barrage ability stuns even Kerrigan. With a few Thors, you can stunlock her. Note: I chose to kill the air units for the final mission. Don't know if this will work just as well if you chose to kill the Nydus worms.[/sp]
[sp]Last stand protoss is a bitch to finish, can only get 1100.[/sp]
[sp]Build loads of Colossus, then when you get the carriers build loads of those. Also you won't last long on the lower part, retreat to the higher part and put everything in the middle plateau (you will lose the special objective though).[/sp]

Gotta love those fucking rocks huh? The other guy just made a single siege tank behind them and made it impossible for me to destroy them (since I only had Zerglings), making my strategy completely useless (and by the time I had built enough Roaches/Banelings he had put bunkers and 4 siege tanks behind the rocks). Then I was fucked because nearly all my resources had gone to Zerglings and I had only built a spawning pool, while he only needed 1/10th of the units to keep me at bay, focusing the rest of his resources to building a proper base. TL:DR, fuck those 50 beginner, I'm skipping them.

It's much more fun than air one. And makes final mission helluva easier.[/sp]
Urgh, I'm just not made for melee in this game. Too bad I can't figure out the editor fully.
Damn, i am switching to protoss. They are much more fun to play. My tactic is to rush dark templars and warp prisms. Then do a doom-warp with your warp gates into opponents base with dark templars. If he has detectors, use high templars to carpetstorm their harvesters. Tip for all people who say they are not made for melee : Watch some HDstarcraft videos on youtube. Link to his channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/HDstarcraft He makes commentaries on high-grade games. I sucked until i watched bunch of games here. He does fantastic commentary and you can peek the tactics of pro players. Even if this wont make you pro, you will be able to see the basics and how the game plays.

Researching the speed upgrade for the banelings took even more time and by that time he had 4 siege tanks.

Burrowed roaches and infestors are a great counter to siege tanks.

The Nydus worms bring in orange zerg units. Someone said it's a good idea to have a banshee strike force for going to pick off the Nydus worms and it worked well.[/sp]
Yeah, thats a direct counter in training games. I suggest to rush air units instead.
Will try that, thanks. Also I'm watching some of those HDstarcraft videos you linked, and in the first 2 minutes I already learned something new (it seems that you can order drones to directly gather as soon as spawned, either that or he's insanely fast on those hotkeys). Also it feels kind of unfair towards the Zergs to have those rocks, usually the Zerg can train more and faster, making them great for rushes.
Burrowed roaches and infestors are a great counter to siege tanks.
Roaches can wreck anything, even an army by themselves just keep popping up and burrowing so any damage dealt can be healed quickly. Now I know for sure (and can leave the point on the minerals without having to worry about my idle workers getting lost or something). Also I'm going to try another practice one now, let's hope the next guy doesn't know about siege tanks...

Scout with mutas, mortar the siege tank with infested marines and when it's busy taking it out, try to neural parasite it.
Am having a hard time on deciding whether to buy the US or EU version, due to the division of European and US friend :| EU friends are more likely not going to buy the game, and even if they did, they would still spend most of the time in WoW, while on the other hand I'd be able to play more with US friends, though it'd go to the night and impact school, and would perhaps lag, though in the trial it was one of them US friends that slowed down the game :buddy: Am in favour of buying US version at the moment. Any info on whether or not D3 will be Region locked? If yes, I won't be touching it :frown:
Practice League is funny. Everyone I've played there in the beta didn't have any defense when I went into his base with air units to harass. I mean seriously? Air units take awhile to make. They could at least had had a few marines.
I have found that I can win any attack vs Insane AI to my base with Dark Templars, since they NEVER bother to bring detection. And if you're not going with Dark Templars or you're T or Z, I've found that if you havea force large enough to fend of the first attack and the rush, he's only going to have half your force and you'd win. All I do when I don't go for DTs is make defensive units (or use a force shield as protoss) and just use lots of ranged units (stalkers, tanks, hydralisks...) to kill off most of the attack from high ground, then just kill the rest, then rush to his base and most of the time I'd win. I think that the Insane AI has or infinite resources or faster spawn times, because by the time you get to his base he's got at least half the force he had when he attacked you, anyone else notice something like this?
This is on 2v2 though so they one player gets ganked by 2 AIs at once and then the other one is fucked as soon as the first is destroyed
Is this regional like Diablo II and WoW? I just bought a key on G2Play, so my key is European, can I play with my friends whom have Australia/SE Asian keys?

Didn't Blizzard say that they will add cross-region play between friends though? [editline]09:28PM[/editline] In some upcoming patch that is.
I want LAN. Bad.
I want LAN. Bad.
They're adding it, aren't they? They're at least adding chat rooms I'm pretty sure.
Guys was i the only one who found hilarious the cutscene where [sp]Zeratul boards the ship out of nowhere, gives the crystal to jim and leaves, suddenly, it felt like if zeratul was batman[/sp]
He is [editline]02:41PM[/editline] JIM Raynor -> JIM Gordon
You could also go for mutalisk/infestor build. Though I just played another one against a Protoss player and the Zerglings worked fine.
Guys what is a good way to show my replay to someone who doesn't own SC2, something else than FRAPS.
