What beats a Colossus? I've been watching videos and they seem to own all :v:

Vikings do very well against them. They can be hit by both anti-air and anti-ground units.

I'm guessing Mutas if you are Zerg?

They classify as air units so corrupters do the job as well
You can consider infestors too. Neural parasiting their colossi can be very annoying for them and may turn the tide of the battle.

Hell, if you play zerg, why not rush him before he gets collosi? They take a lot of time to build, you could do some nice damage to his eco with a baneling bust before he achieves this.
[sp]To the guys wondering what is up with the appendages at Kerris head: Protoss have appendages too, and they use it for telepathy and stuff. [Besides: Dark Templar cut them, because they need the solitude that the cut link provides to focus on the void] So Kerrigans appendages might be useful to control the swarm in HOTS.[/sp]
Makes sense, nice thinking.
rushing, god i dont like it
Just finished my placement for 1v1.
Won 2/5 matches only because of disconnects.
Bronze league is cool I guess.

Found this whilst browsing some sc2 mapping forum.
I'm starting to feel better about 1v1. I think I figured out what I was doing wrong..I've won 7 games in a row now with no one even getting close to beating me.
yeah and bnet records how well you've been doing and then making you face people who don't even know what it feels like losing.

The overheating problem was well known before release. It is why many of us stopped playing the beta.
rushing, god i dont like it
Just remember, if you hold it off you have a massive economic advantage. Just make sure you have units to counter them without ruining your economy. As terran its easy to set up panic defenses with a few bunkers full of marines with scv's repairing.
Rushing is a great way to counter someone who goes for fast expands, bunker rush with reapers is a great way to deny zerg expansions.

For you Terran Players out here, this guy has a lot of videos on Terran Basics and Tutorials, recommend you check him out, he was liked by Husky. Not watched them but if you're a terran player, you should check the videos out. They're in 1080p too!
Alright, just bought this finally over Digital.
Two hours of wait, is there any fun custom games made yet?
I like the ones where you send troops to fight on a preset path
Finally putting that pass to use. Anyone want to play a shitty Terran player?

i still don't understand this
your graphics card should run fine up to spec in the main menu even if there's a 100% load
I think I'm going to start making some custom maps and gametypes. The amount available is very lackluster.

There are some cool ones that are work in progress, someone's made a beat em up with the first 2 stages ready
Yeah the popularity thing hides some of the new and interesting gamemodes. I'm still waiting for footies.
Even in bronze league I can't win 1v1's.
:(
I'm having two major issues with this game. Being a starcraft and general blizzard fan i sort of hoped to have these two features, because i know blizzard is more than capable of making a good game. There's actually 3 issues that matter to me.
1. No lan support. Sure, Piracy etc etc. Sure, everybody has internet these days. I know it was said pretty much from the beginning that there wasn't going to be lan support but I was more or less shocked anyway, Because i actually sort of thought that it had to be a joke or something. Let's compare this to a board game. If a friend comes to me, and we decide to play a game of monopoly or whatever, Would you say that he's stealing the game? No. Why can't i play a game of stracraft with my friend if we're in the same house, most likely the same room. There's a guest feature, I facepalmed so hard when i realised that it only were for singleplayer. What's the point of that. Who gives a crap about singleplayer stats, If there even is any, haven't checked. The worst that could happen is that your guest would get you an achievment or something. The piracy issue is also stupid. There's already cracks and shit, And some command line tool to play lan with a friend. I'd use this if I wouldn't think that it could get me banned or something. I read somewhere on the sc2 forums about how lan could potentialy be used for another battlenet or something. Well, If people are going to get through that much trouble they might aswell download that exe anyway and play lan trough that.
2. If you disconnect, Crash, whatever during a multiplayer game you can't rejoin it. I just feel that it's stupid, Especially if it's a party game with a friend. How hard could it be to add a popup or something that says "The other player disconnect, Pause game and wait for him to reconecct?". I know it's not alot of games that have this feature, But then again there's not many rts games with matchmaking like this either.
3. The custom map system is kind of stupid. You're viewing maps by popularity and not games playing these custom maps. There should just be a number in the row that tells you if there is any games running that map so you don't click into it, and suddently you're hosting a new game that probably nobody is going to join if you didn't pick a map that's on the absolute top of popular maps.
Oh fuck, Here's another one.
4. Party teams vs matchmaked teams are unfair. How hard can it be to just add a popup telling you "There are no other picked teams/party teams avilable, Would you like to include picked/party teams?" or something. If you're playing with somebody you know it's way easier to discuss tactics and stuff like that. Randomly picked people often don't listen to you as much either.
I'm hoping to see patches in the future to fix these issues.

The new map editor doesn't cease to amaze me. All I need is some nice coop map for multiplayer like I played in WC3. (was about marines wo had to fight waves of zerg to get to a dropship and get evacuated, was called S3 Marine Corps Survival)
And yeah, i agree.
I hope that they'll add cross-region play as well at some point. Or at least let you change the region without buying a new copy.
Automerge fail.

At first i was dissapointed with the editor aswell because they had originally said that they would include all sc1 units, aswell as all units that weren't included in the game. Then i started exploring some of the shit and realised, fuck, you can change fucking everything. Best thing about wc3 was the custom maps. I'm hoping to see alot of cool custom maps in a few weeks or so.
The game overall is mostly impressive right now, And the fact that it it's only been out for a few days probably means that they are going to fix the current issues it has now.

that second video makes me want a game where it's like 6 VS 2 and the 6 play in 3rd person and other 2 build shit to fight them. with the usual upgrades and unit changes :iia:
Hooooooly shit I had the longest game in my life with a Protoss player. One hour and 12 minutes.
We both kinda sucked, that's why it took so long. But I won in the end.
Anyone got any tips to counter a roach/hydralisk/infestor swarm? I had a marauder/marine/medivac/tank army, and he would just over and over get his roaches close, use fungus on my main army and then go straight for my tanks.
