Gotta fix those spoilertags man but I have no clue on who actually [SP]ordered him to kill Kerrigan, it sounded far too texan to be Mengsk so I think Edmund Duke but he's dead as far as I know?[/SP]
[sp]I thought it was Mengsk, especially after he said he signed a deal with the devil.[/sp]
[sp]It was Mengsk.[/sp]
So it really [SP]was Mengsk? Jesus they made him sound extremely southern there then because I have no memory of him having such a strong accent, I did however keep suspecting it was him for the whole deal with the devil thing.[/SP]
Someone send me a guest pass i'm bored out of my mind!
Same here, would be eternally grateful if someone sent a guest pass my way. Thanks in advance.
United States by the way.
Reasons why lifting off and taking the gold right at the start does not work:
a) While the CC is airborne, you have no income.
b) If the opponent isn't a total noob, they will scout after their first depot/pylon/overlord and catch the CC mid transit.
c) By the time you land, opponent has 15+ workers, decent income and a rax/gateway/pool, while you only have 5 scvs, 50 minerals and no buildings.
d) Gold expos are usually fairly open and impossible to wall off.
e) Your first depot finishes, opponent rushes you with marines/zealots/lings.
f) GG
As for reapers, best thing to do is always assume a terran player will reaper harass and build a bunker near your mineral line. Better safe than sorry.
In the practice league there's a bunch of rocks so they can't rush as easily, and I mean as your first expansion.
Telling which region you're in would help when you are begging for guest passes you know. They are region locked.

I sent you a PM
I was playing this on a trial the other day and decided to play with 2 allies and 1 enemy (all these were AI) My two allies were normal and the enemy very hard, as i began to build up my base (protoss) i start hearing ALLIES ARE IN COMBAT then watched in horror as both of my allies got completely wiped out, i then proceeded to run for it.
I got 2 guestpasses for European people but I ain't giving them to idiots, just an FYI.
Just won by putting a nydus network behind the enemies base.
Buried roaches are not fair. :buddy:
I won a game by putting a nydus and pumping out 100 zerglings
I won a game by putting a nydus and pumping out 100 zerglings
That sounds like a beautiful sight. Just played against some more sap that decided to build a nydus canal with a ton of roaches.
He failed to realise that in the time it took him to do this I owned half the map and was pop capped by battlecruisers. Poor guy.
Would it be a good idea to include a Facepunch Starcraft 2 steam group or something in the OP to talk about the game?
Have 4-8 Warp Gates, put up a Pylon outside (or inside where he can't see it) of the enemy base, and warp in units and sandwich your opponent.
No, that's not the proxy rush.
The proxy rush is you immediately send a probe inside the enemy base and build a pylon in the back of their base where they can't see. Then you build the gateways there and train zealots from inside their base.
[sp]If you watch the opening cinematic it tells you straight out its Mengsk who sends Tychus. Turn on subtitles for it.[/sp]
So should I buy starcraft 1 just for the singleplayer campaign? or is it so out of date I should just wait for someone to try and recreate it with the galaxy editor?
I'm not sure if I should buy this. I was a big fan of Warcraft 3 and I enjoy the guest pass I've been given.
I guess if I play for atleast 10 hours it's worth it.
Umm..SC1 isn't -that- out of date. I'd buy it for the SP and the multi.
I should have made my in-game name Rerg Zush.
So it really [SP]was Mengsk? Jesus they made him sound extremely southern there then because I have no memory of him having such a strong accent, I did however keep suspecting it was him for the whole deal with the devil thing.[/SP]
[sp]It's fairly subtle but Mengsk has a pretty strong accent when he's talking casually. You also notice it when the reporters start harassing him and he loses his cool, the voice he uses for public speeches and what not is a more "kingly" one.[/sp]
Tip: If you're getting reaper rushed and it's fucking you up pretty badly, Marauders are reaper's worst nightmare. When I see the other player has marauders the reaper rush is a no go. Another thing, and this is really important, in the amount of time it's taken him to tech up to reapers and get a sizeable force of them out on the field you should already have a decently sized force of Marines and Marauders.
So while you have versatile units to attack with he has harassment units and that's pretty much it. So after you've delt with the reapers rush his base and take him out because 9 times out of 10 I'm completely defenseless when I reaper rush.

Isn't the "Battle Chest" thing only about $20?
If so, buy it NOW NOW NOW
Today, everything changed. I got the game yesterday, and I had played 7 2vs2 matches winning only one because the other team got disconnected. In the matches I always had Brazillians that didn't knew anything about Starcraft as allies. When I sent scouts to harass the enemy workers and told my ally how to countermeasure their tactics (Usually tier 1 unit spam) they didn't hear a word I said and got their asses destroyed, with me not being able to counter 2 player's armies.
But today, I played aganist the same new-to-the-game BRs that fucked me over as allies in the past. They spammed units that were shit aganist air and destroyed my (BR) ally, then I Battlecruiser'd them, and they kept spamming zealots and inmortals. It's nice to see a change.
hey guys, can i get a US guest pass? i'm gonna buy the game in about a week but i seriously can't wait 'till then :(
How do you counter those rolling exploding zergs? I just got owned by them (playing as terran).
Tanks? Reapers? Marauders?

Siege tanks in siege mode in front of your base can destroy a lot of them quickly.

The best you can do is to try shooting them as fast as you can before they roll over to you bascially. Else if you got a siege tank shot em with that because it has alot of splash damage that'll hit the other banelings on the way as well.
air units harass
basically banshees or BCs
What do I do when I attack, or they attack me while going for their base?
You stick with the same tactics.
