I can never manage to do good. I mean I've won 3 games but only against bad people.

It's seriously just a thousand little steps to get "good" at this game.

Is it true that if you mess it up (if you have one) it could cost you the match?
Are you sure you want it? It's really dark.
Can you please make the marauder? Please

But fucking up early on in your career of playing really won't matter. It's about getting it down, and you'll learn how to do that best by just doing it constantly. Win or lose, you should be learning from every mistake you make. In bronze or placement league matches, chances are, you can fuck it up and still get away with it.

I added you to the list Lord Crypto. Since you failed to tell me what region you are, I put US. I'll change it later if you do happen to be EU. I'll be splitting up the list later tonight between EU and US and that one Canadian player. Sorry friend. New Zerg banner drawn by a fellow Facepuncher K00lwhip. PM him if you get a chance and thank him for that. There's a little easter egg in the drawing. If you know what it is, PM me for a little prize.
Well I'm in bronze so v:v:v But do you have any good overall strategies for zerg? or a link to one?
There's a lot around and you have to find one that fits your play style.
There's a lot around and you have to find one that fits your play style.
I'll crawl back to google then :saddowns:
So should I buy starcraft 1 just for the singleplayer campaign? or is it so out of date I should just wait for someone to try and recreate it with the galaxy editor?
It's not "out of date" especially if you feel comfortable with SC2. It's pretty much SC2 except using 2D sprites instead of 3D models. Though less fancy briefing rooms/OMGHOLYSHIT-CG cutscenes
hey guys, can i get a US guest pass? i'm gonna buy the game in about a week but i seriously can't wait 'till then :(
reposting since it was at the bottom of the screen :( my paycheck needs to get here faster hnnng
I'm going to buy it once I have the money...Fucking battle.net doesn't accept paypal.
I thought you had it. I could have sworn I added you to the OP.
No I have Starcraft 2...just not starcraft 1.
Well I'm in bronze so v:v:v But do you have any good overall strategies for zerg? or a link to one?
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Zerg_Strategy Learn basic build orders first. I guess..
What the hell I just got rushed by a guy with like 50 Thors. :wtc:
What the hell I just got rushed by a guy with like 50 Thors. :wtc:
technically impossible. Each thor is 6 units. most he could have sent would be around 30... or 25.
Whatever it was still alot. Even though I countered with Immortals he still destroyed me.
I just got destroyed in 2v2 because my partner let an early zergling rush ruin him while I was building up. He couldn't even get marines out. I sent zergling to help, but still, jesus. He died in the first 3 minutes of the game. I hate playing with some of these people.
Well I'm in bronze so v:v:v But do you have any good overall strategies for zerg? or a link to one?
for zerg my personal build order is 9 overlord 14 pool 14 hatchery 14 queen 16 zerglings (6 of them to defend) along that build order keep making drones & overlords, and make an extractor after that you should build counters and scout as much as you can, you can go with roaches for a safe early game or straight up to hydras or mutas depending on what the other makes also don't make more than one queen early on there is no purpose, just make a creep highway between your base and your expansion with your overlords and make your queen patrol between both hatcheries to larva them up, it's also a good idea depending on the map to stick a single spine crawler by your expansion, very lethal against T1 units keep harassing if you go for roaches, retreat if he has the bigger army, on your creep + your queen + spine crawler, you'll beat the other guy's army if he's stupid early game [editline]10:16PM[/editline] this is a replay with the build order http://filesmelt.com/dl/Lost_Temple.SC2Replay i made a bunch of stupid mistakes but overall the guy got fucked over by not scouting and me building mutas after finding his colossus
All this zerg talk makes me want to switch from protoss. It's such a different race to play. I'm used to two or three units being able to muscle through an army themselves, and now I have to macro everywhere to get enough units out. Are there any macro tricks that I should know about with queens? It seems tedious having to spawn larva so often to get enough larva. With protoss W was the hotkey for most of my production buildings, is there any such hotkey for Zerg?
Sorry about the super shitty quality, something bugged when I took the picture. But if you CAN see it its all the junk in the Starcraft 2 Collectors Edition [editline]02:21AM[/editline] Also Assassins Creed 2 because Best Buy accidentally marked it down and I got away with it :v:
OP should make a section with tactics, builds and good counter-measures so that people don't have to read trough 35 pages. Just sayin'.
That will be in the next version which will be very soon considering how many pages we're going through.
Thread doesn't cap off at 51 anymore. May as well do it now.
also don't make more than one queen early on there is no purpose, just make a creep highway between your base and your expansion with your overlords and make your queen patrol between both hatcheries to larva them up, it's also a good idea depending on the map to stick a single spine crawler by your expansion, very lethal against T1 units
Just curious, what league are you in? You can certainly benefit from more than 1 queen per hatchery, especially if you are against terran (Banshees) or a protoss cheesing with an early void ray. They also help get that creep highway faster since you have extra energy. Patrolling the queen between hatcheries is when you need to make a new one.
The Starcraft II strategy guide has loads of tips and strategies for multiplayer, I highly suggest it.
It hasn't really dated well. The controls are horrible, the missions are poorly designed, but it's worth it for the story.
get out the missions were awesome the only one i didn't really like was the night/day on the colonies, everything than that was top notch
get out the missions were awesome the only one i didn't really like was the night/day on the colonies, everything than that was top notch
the missions were fucking horribly designed. for example the ion cannon mission. when a mission is more frustrating than fun it is poorly made.
