pretty bad examples.
That's why I'm excited about playing this.
[sp]infested Protoss structures[/sp]
Those were apparently going to be in the game but were cut due to not following lore.
Infested protoss were removed from the game due to lore reasons; Chris Metzen has said "there are no infested protoss, period" and Dustin Browder has said "based on the lore, the Protoss do not become infested. The combination of the two result in a hybrid race". However, Blizzard has also contradicted this statement. The issue was clarified in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty: infested protoss do not exist

Well I always expected some badass Terran+Protoss+Zerg final showdown.
Which will probably happen [in SC3] since [sp]Zeratul and Raynor are already allied, and Kerrigan is human now, and since she'll end up controlling the Zerg to it's full extend at the end of HotS, and LotV will be about (probably Zeratul?) uniting the Protoss tribes. Then you'll have the final stand against the Dark Voice and the hybrids in SC2.[/sp]
15 hour download! i wanted to play tonight :( hopefully it will download faster and be done by at least 8!

Disable Peer to Peer. It increases speed by an insane amount.

[sp]Duran will probably be the Dark Voice or an Agent of it[/sp]

[sp]Right, there can't be a showdown before the last expansion is released. I think it will be small victories over the hybrids. And to the Hell with Mengsk, I want him replaced before SC3. I personally would enjoy to bring him down in HotS. Also the terrans need to reunited as much as the Protoss tribes, I wonder if Valerian will really do better.[/sp]

From Wikipedia: [sp]"In a secret mission, he is discovered by Zeratul engineering a Protoss/Zerg hybrid. Duran ominously explains he has "had many names throughout the millennia", that his work has little to do with Kerrigan and that he serves "a far greater power"." So probably an agent, going by the "a far greater power".[/sp]

I saw nothing like that in SC2, Sure that wasn't SC1?
Disable Peer to Peer. It increases speed by an insane amount.
Peer-to-peer has been disabled within your Blizzard Downloader options. Please keep in mind that with peer-to-peer disabled you will experience slower downloads than if it were enabled. It is recommended that you enable peer-to-peer for the most optimal download speeds. If you are having problems with downloads not working when peer-to-peer is enabled please try the steps at the Patching Issues support site section.
says it makes things slower!
BC are pretty fast, it's just that they fly way higher than normal aircraft.
No they are rather slow, they are normally only useful on maps where they can't just be kited around by faster units.

But it doesn't.
Woot, guest pass never runs out if you log in as a guest when starcraft 2 starts up
Of course you can't do multi, but it means you can finish the campaign assuming you copy+paste your save games/progress from your mydocuments folder from your account profile to the guest one
I saw nothing like that in SC2, Sure that wasn't SC1?
It's the Dark Origin mission from SC1.
[sp]Duran will probably be the Dark Voice or an Agent of it[/sp]
He's an agent of [sp]the Entity of KL-2 I think, which calls itself "Voice in the Darkness" (so it's most probably the "Dark Voice"). Also the Dark Voice is not a Xel'Naga, in fact it's hostile to them (and they had imprisoned it). So even though Zeratul said "The Xel'Naga are returning" this Dark Voice who seems to be the main antagonist isn't a Xel'Naga.[/sp]
Also, I noticed that outpost defenders was around 6th on popular custom games and now it's first, any idea if the popularity updates realtime or say once a day?
Who knows, they keep track of us in realtime. Probably just once a day, before the Blizzard workers are leaving the office.

[sp]This can simply be proven with some quotes out of SC1:
Duran: "I've had many names throughout the millennia, young prodigal. You would know me best as Samir Duran."
Duran: "I am a servant of a far greater power. A power that has slept for countless ages. And is reflected in the creature within that cell."
Zeratul: "Have you any conception of what you've created here? Do you have any idea what this... this Hybrid is capable of?"
Duran: "Of course I do. This creature is the completion of a cycle. Its role in the cosmic order was preordained when the stars were young. Behold the culmination of your history."
Infested Kerrigan claims to have seen through Dr. Emil Narud's "pathetic" facade. His surname, spelled backward, is Duran.
Fits the canon, Duran might continue his research, this also explains why the data cores need to be destroyed: They contain data about the hybrids or is Blizzard just messing with our heads?
Damn it, is this guy even human? He is one of the most enigmatic characters in the whole series. I want to see him in the expansion packs.[/sp]

Anyone have problems with battle.net? I was playing and suddenly it said "Achievements are disabled". So I restarted the game, but now I can't get into battle.net. It just loads indefinately..
I've restarted my router and everything.
[sp] Emil Narud backwards is Duran Lime.
Apparently he likes limes[/sp]

[sp]Yep, gives me a feeling it would have been better to just let Kerrigan do what she was doing, instead of stopping her and turning her human.[/sp]

There's nothing to say that Voice in the Darkness is infact the [sp]Dark Voice[/sp] although it is likely.

He's quite badass.
[sp]In the secret mission, you find hybrids in a Dominion facility. Since the Moebius Foundation has strong ties with the Dominion, you can see how "Narud" is a very suspicious person. After all, Duran claimed that he had many names over the past millennia, and Tychus easily got in contact with Narud after being freed by the Dominion. If Kerrigan can stop the hybrids, then you might as well kill her ASAP.[/sp]

Same here.
i have problems downloading from battle net lol, 15 bloody hours!
Got the problem aswell... bollocks..
B.net works fine for me.
Anyway I'm redoing the campaign again on brutal and was wondering if I can redo a completed mission again on casual to get the research I missed, is this possible?

You can only redo missions after completing the campaign, which would make research pointless.

You can redo missions at anytime, you have to go to the mission archives on the bridge.
