I've been playing with the editor, and hell yes, you can control Kerrigan herself if you want to. It just takes one skilled mapper for a decent mp map, which I am not. You might want to search right here: http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/ Use filters, there are too many maps.
they won't have any yet I'm sure since corsairs and lurkers and such don't exist but I can't wait for them in the future [editline]09:04PM[/editline] Woah you can set unburrow to autocast. OF THIS I WAS UNAWARE
@JohnnyMo1: There is pretty much possible right now already, I'll just leave this here for your personal pleasure.
Burrowed baneling minefields are hilarious [editline]08:56PM[/editline] but they're hard to get to work just how you want
You don't even really need burrow. A big blob of banelings and speedlings for the cleanup is more than enough to destroy a bio ball, or at the very least to chase it off. The only real way they can avoid it is by using stim to run.
Are single player units usable in custom maps? If so I reaaally hope all the classic units come back in the zerg and toss campaigns because I want to see classic SC unit custom maps.
Yeah they are

It's official. Sc2 has the best map editor ever.
1 Marauder can take 3 banelings. Anyone of good caliber (High High Gold or above) wanna practice against eachother? [editline]01:39AM[/editline] pm me
Anyone wanna do 2v2 with me? I'm probably a gold level player, and I want a partner who is going to be on a reasonable amount and can take a loss without whining.
Murdoco, thank you. Accompanied with this cigarette, that video made my day almost a million times better.
np. Someone also needs to teach me how to use the map editor.
This pissed me off... SO MUCH. *spoiler image* :suicide:

Oh god that's amazing. [editline]11:51AM[/editline] Well I'll finally get it tomorrow.
Going to try and use this tutorial to make a basic map....hopefully it works...
Going to try and use this tutorial to make a basic map....hopefully it works...
It's really quite easy to make a simple map. It's the complicated game types that really take some time.
Is the editor radically different? If not I should be good
Anyone else notice that Stetman and Robin from Teen Titans have the same voice? Also Nova and Princess Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender have the same voice
It's really quite easy to make a simple map. It's the complicated game types that really take some time.
I tried setting up about 300 changelings in front of the CPU's base...they are all set as player 2 and the CPU is player 2...but he doesn't seem to have control of them. Once I get to his base his changelings just stare at me.
How do I rotate stuff in the editor?
How crappyer could this game get? the good thing:Great Graphics. The bad things: the battles are a mindless cluster of units and blood; jim raynor is a brain-dead drunk; they removed firebats, vultures, and goliaths, and made seige tanks look stupid + making you pay to be able to use the above removed units, AND THEN only letting you use them in the campaign(:downs: hurf durf we taik yoonits awai den mak u pay to uze dem but onli in one campane:downs:); you have to PAY for the other campaigns, or you can't play a zerg or protoss in a campaign. end of rant. and also, "hell, its about time"? hell, its about time FOR THIS GAME TO BOMB.
Don't buy this game for the campaign, it's good, but it should be judged on multiplayer imho
Hoodoo you are a fucking retard.
seriously bitching about units not being in the campain? do you even realise how long it would have taken to balance all the extra shit the Terran would have had?
So Starcraft II just finished downloading, and I'm using the trial version. Anything important I should know before I jump into multiplayer?
You do realize Blizzard could, say not have put them there in the first place? It's fanservice idiot.
6 pool everyone.
So Starcraft II just finished downloading, and I'm using the trial version. Anything important I should know before I jump into multiplayer?
play around with all the races before settling on one you enjoy, also watch some videos on youtube about build orders, tactics against other races etc and good luck :) .
Yeah watch build orders, do the challenge for whatever race you pick that has you set up counters, play against medium bot, hard, very hard, insane. If you have a lot of trouble with anything below very hard you might want to practice more, also if you are doing ANYTHING that doesn't involve multiplayer, ie Campaign, Challenges, fighting against bots, log out of your account and look at the right side of the screen where it says "Play as a Guest". Your time won't be subtracted so you can keep your 7 hours for multiplayer. [editline]07:42PM[/editline] Also can someone explain to me what a "bio ball" is, and what speedlings are?
[editline]07:42PM[/editline] Also can someone explain to me what a "bio ball" is, and what speedlings are?
Speedlings are zerglings with the speed upgrade. A bio ball is an army of biological units like marines and marauders.
Speedlings are zerglings with the Metabolic Boost upgrade, making them run 20% faster. [editline]04:46AM[/editline] Ninja'd! :ninja:
Why is the fucking editor such a god damned science laboratory? What I mean by that is that it's so ridiculously complicated it's not even funny. Sure, it allows for amazing features like the Hydra Thriller Dance posted at the top of this page, but for simple shit it's fucking retarded. I spent an hour yesterday trying to figure out how to make a Battlecruiser shoot rockets at 4 different targets at the same time while moving at full speed. Didn't come close to figuring it out. There's no simple way to even change weapon damage. Custom units now take ages to make. I liked the editor much, much, better in WC3.
