I don't wanna be a dick but that's your fault. You let him get that many.
MM isn't difficult to defend against. Banshees with cloak and siege tanks.
yeah I meant to say toss
Well I didn't know he was even spamming them (also my fault) I tried my best but at the end I just didn't have enough gas after spending it all trying to take out what I thought was his only base.

If you let him mass BCs then you did something wrong.

Colossi (unless they brought vikings in tow)

Last time I waited I got marine maraudered. Always hit first as protoss
Always hit first as anything imo. Whoever is attacking/sieging the other guy has the advantage.
Just got a nice win against a protoss named ENDER.
He wasn't expecting a bio-ball rush.
After his base was down he said "gg i hate the rush game", which obviously meant he had an expansion.
I just guessed the location with a scanner sweep and he surrendered.
Today is a good day.

getting colossi before they have a big mm ball is tough, especially if they push out early. gateway units suck against mm.
the best strat is to build 2-3 sentries really fast, then use that to block the bottom of your ramp while you build colossi.
What I like to do is have a proxy pylon in my enemy's main, and when they go for a first rush I warp in a bunch of zealots and go for the mineral line. He loses his economy and his main forces if I take them out at the sane time. Usually leads to a gg
That only happens when you are dealing with noobs. By doing a proxy pylon, you lose time and money.
I just beat 7 insane ai zerg. It was fucking intense. But I got 5 achievements and a portrait :buddy:

Wish I could do that :(
I just beat the campaign([sp]shat bricks at the end, shed a tear as well[/sp]), but I refuse to play online because my mom's name is listed for the RealID(WoW account crap). And Blizzard's phone lines are clogged. This is not fair.
Wish I could do that :(
It's actually pretty simple if you play terran vs 7 insane ai zerg (NOTE: DO NOT HANDICAP THEM. IT WILL NOT GET YOU THE ACHIEMEVENT) all you have to do is play on the 8 person lava map (can't remember what it's called), then when you start, load up 5/6 of the scv's fly over to the closest lava island (grand units can't touch it.), set up a base, then just tech up and build about 30 banshees and 20 vikings (maybe more just to be safe since they can be annoying) you can wait since most of them will kill each other off until one is left..then it's just 1v1 and it's pretty damn simple to win. Insane ai doesn't usually mass hyrdas and only a few mutalisks.
If you do that it's pretty easy. Make sure to build over 5 starports and upgrade all the units via armory.
Is the map called extinction?
I'm not very big on RTS, is the learning curve on this steep?

That's it.
Does anyone have two passes they are not planning on giving to anyone?
If you have little experience in RTS games, which is better, Dawn of War or this?

starcraft 2 is the better game but it's not friendly to new players
I really love starcraft, but I'm so shit at it.

I hate you

Both are different gaming experiences. It's best not to compare them. It all really depends on what you're looking for from an RTS.
Honestly I'd say SC2 is a lot more forgiving than other RTS to new players. I mean, you have AI that ranges from massively easy to "okay, now you're prepared to play online", and then you have unranked practice matches that block rushes. You also have single player challenges that really teach you a lot about the game--what units counter what, how to use different units effectively, how to manage things efficiently, how to build a strong economy, how to survive early rushes, etc... I'd say yes, the learning curve is rather steep, but there's so much available to help you out and teach you how to play and how things work. You're not just all out on your own like in most RTS.
This game is merciless to new players. The ai does absolutely nothing to help you prepare for online play because they never harass, backdoor, or use any underhanded tactic to speak of. They don't rush right, they don't straight tech effectively, they don't use common "power comps".
Practice matches are nice, but tend to encourage bad habits that don't work later on, like cheesing or rushing.

The AI reaper harasses, but that's about it.
Anyone know why starcraft 2 is using 5 gigs of my memory?
