The screenshot and video of SC2 you posted looks like medium settings, hardly fair to compare to. Since when has any game in the RTS genre added anything new to the series besides units and better graphics since Warcraft: Orcs and Humans? It's not Blizzard's fault that they do what companies do - try to make money. Going off of a tried and true formula, especially if it's what paying customers want, is not a crime by any means.

Try harder. Video was to show how easy it is to start an infinite match. Find the best pic of starcraft 2 you can find, it still looks like a cartoon from the 90's. First of all, why do you bring up Warcraft 1? If anything you should go back all the way to Dune, the first RTS game. What companies do - ah, a classic excuse "their a company, they want money", if i wanted to play a game with the same formula and same races and same features as Starcraft, I'D PLAY STARCRAFT. EA took a chance at being an original developer and you know what came out of it? Dead Space, and i respect them for that. Blizzard? All they have been doing is milking their franchises over and over, and it's now an obvious FACT now, after they came out and said you need to pay seperately for each races campaign.

Say your refresh rate is 60hZ, your fps will be limited to 60. Try harder. These "infinity matches" are a part of the game, and usually happen when someone has already lost and feels like being a dick. If you're any good of a player at all, you will have units that can hit air before that point in the game comes. I was actually about to take a picture of SC2, but I had it fullscreen and my computer decides to give me a plain black screen when I paste printscreens of fullscreen games into photoshop. I can guarantee you that it looks nothing like a cartoon from the 90s. I brought up Warcraft O&H because it's the first game I thought of. Thousands of man-hours have been poured into creating the campaign, and playing it is fun in it's own right. I'm failing to see why you think that having expansions to the game is a bad idea. That's like seeing Spider-Man, then saying "That's an obvious cliff-hanger. The reason their cards are overheating is because they're rendering more than they need to, not because of a design flaw. There are fail-safes implemented INTO THE GAME to prevent that from happening. The fact that people choose to ignore it isn't the fault of the publisher. That picture is also pre-beta. Comparing them in such a way is in no way moronic. I've gotten at least 12 hours out of the single-player missions, and way more from the game overall. I wouldn't want to sit straight through all of that either, and I didn't. Adding expansions to the game gives you more content, and it isn't even required.

I still can't fucking believe they actually didn't spend all that time on amazing and terribly optimized graphics that wouldn't support the amount of units used at a time in an usual starcraft game. Why the fuck would I want a balanced or optimized game?

Either that or you really need to clean out your case. If your graphics card DOES go over your refresh rate, it's not going to make your game unplayable if you turn on VSYNC. You won't even notice a difference, as whatever your card was doing before wasn't even visible to you since your monitor can't display it fast enough. Erm, yea, it will, i have noticed steep performance drops on any game i've ever turned it on for, Farcry 2 for example, with VSYNC off i get 30 FPS, with it on i get around 20. Some games even SAY that turning off VSYNC will increase performance. Oh really? If it's all so extremely "unintelligent" then how come i've been able to prove everything i've been stating and yet, the only thing you've been able to prove, is that the difference between pre-beta screenshots and post-release, is that the ground is bumpier.... That's exactly what i thought, your just so devoted to Blizzard, you ignore all the facts and go straight for the fanboy "troll or idiot" exclamation. Playing on a tree year old computer with a Nvidia GeForce 8600GT that doesn't even meet the recommended specs, 2gbs of ram and a four year old processor, everything maxed out at 25 fps.
